So far, so good.

After early failures of 3 HOT-1 models, decided to try an upgraded version. It is quieter and appears to be better made. Time will tell...

Water coming out has a bad taste.

After installation we have used many times and water heats as advertised but water still has a bad taste.

Worth the money, great product

The heater came very quickly and with all the parts stated. I had to purchase some plumbing supplies as stated in the directions, but there were no surprises. Con: if you turn the heat up too high, it will spontaneously spit hot water out the faucet, I assume similar to a pressure relief valve. I keep the water temp set at a usuable level and don't have any problems. I do wish the faucet could rotate out of the way when not in use but it hasn't really been an issue.

Poor taste

I like the concept of having hot water on demand, but the taste is awful, almost like drinking dirt. Our tap water does not taste like this. We'll be getting the extra (and costly) filter but feel this extra cost should have been included with the product. Installation wasn't easy, but mostly due to us not having an outlet under the sink and having to put in additional wiring to make this work.

Water odor

The unit is a replacement. There is a strong odor - like and electrical issue- from the unit but there does not seem to be an electrical problem

Fantastic product, install was very easy!

Only took about 30 minutes to install, including the removal of the old insta hot product. Much more energy efficient than the old models. Also much easier to control the temperature.

Thoroughly happy - this unit replaced one we have used fro 20 years.

The Invite classic was happily received and installed. This is used daily, and has been fro years. I do not know the install date of our original unit, but the new one was easily installed. The exterior twist-handle has been updated fro a nicer "kitchen-Bling". Our original one was also on a circuit we have covered by our standby generator.

HOT WATER IS INSTANT

HANDLE IS TOO FAT AND HITS THE BACKSPLASH. MY PREVIOUS INSINKERATOR HAD A TALL SLIM HANDLE WHICH WAS PERFECT. HAD UNIT INSTALLED SO DO NOT KNOW IF WAS EASY OR HAD ON-TIME DELIVERY. YOU NEED TO UPDATE YOUR QUESTIONS.

last one died 1 month after warranty ran out

First of all I like the new faucet styling and valve action. This is our third purchase of the same classic series. Each one died shortly after warranty ran out. Chrome peeled off the front of the faucet nose making it dangerous of getting cut. Top handle hardware broke while using. We are not hard on products it was poorly designed. The lower heater tank screw started to leak so we had to put a container to collect the drips. I tried to tighten the screw but it would not stop the leak.l

nice design, easy install

Would be nice if the model serial # (attached to blue line) - was also available as a decal / peel off, so it can be placed on the documentation. Rather then have me crawl into the cabinet every-time I need it. This survey is BAD. my name is Zev - an error message was "too short". Then when refreshed - the email that I entered disappeared and i had to re-enter. Bad design, bad QA / Testing

You won't believe how quiet this thing is!!!

So quiet I have to really listen to see if it's running. Great machine.

Great price, not so great performance

I'm happy to have this installed, it provides fairly hot water at about 190 degrees for a short time. The main problem is that I would expect it to get around or a bit over 200 degrees when set to the hottest temp, this would be more useful for coffee and soup. Second issue it that it will only provide hot water for a short time, say a gallon or two, after that it's barely warm or almost cold, marketing made it sound like it could do much better than that.

Good product but lacking in customer convenience

Good product. But after installation, registration requests serial # of heater unit and dispenser.both are inaccessible unless I disconnect power cord to read tab at plug and remove heater to read info on side. Why isn't the serial # information included on the order sheet, box or stuck on the owner's manual? Also a brass nut and ferrule should have been included for water connection. Should not have to go to hardware store to complete the installation. No longer has a drain plug for seasonal...
