Septic Assist Disposal

I have installed hundreds of regular disposals. Insinkerator were always my favorite for installation. My wife wanted one at home and I always said NO. I came upon this one made for septic systems. I am hopeful that the microbes that are injected when running will digest the debris put into the disposal. Everything is fine with the unit so far.

Only one concern

I have only had this product 3 months and I can't tell if anything is spraying into the disposer after I turn it on. It still shows the blue liquid full.

Works wonderful with our Septic system

Moved from a home that was on sewer with a disposal and thought we would have a disposal again. We are still sensitive to what we use it for but it has made the transition much easier. Very quiet unit. Great Product!

Bio Charge not working like it should

Within a short time after installation the disposer is no longer adding any bio charge when turned on. This was the main reason I purchased this type of unit in the first place. Very disappointed in the performance

Very dependable, and quiet!

We replaced our 20-year-old Insinkerator disposal with a similar model Insinkerator. We figured if our old unit lasted 20 years we should stay with this manufacturer! We are very happy with the new unit. It does an excellent job and is very quiet.

Easy installation

The directions were clear and easy to follow. The product was also well packaged.

The quietest, most efficient disposal I have ever had.

Major design flaw

This product has a major flaw compared to my previous Badger. The rubber collar for the sink drain prevents food and water from your faucet from entering. So you constantly have a backup of debris in your sink and have to dirty up a utensil and proactively push it down. My previous Badger never had a backup and would suck down whatever was near the drain opening, as desired.

Quiet efficient and works quickly

I bought this to replace one from another company that had never performed satisfactorily. So far this one is very quiet and very efficient. I’m well pleased.

Works great

I can't speak for the installation because I had someone do it for me. But I do like the speed and how quiet it is.

This product is so quiet

I was amazed at how quiet this product is. Most disposals are so loud and grinding. I love that it has a solution for septic tanks to help dissolve the food particles which comes in really handy. I would definitely recommend this product.

Septic grinder

Good, thought it would be quieter than my builder installed one. Septic fluid is cool BUT don't think it's working, bought a wireless controller with time delay, works great with the grinder.

Does the Job

This garbage disposal is light years ahead of the one we inherited in the house we bought a few months ago.

Quiet at work

Effective. Quiet when chopping foods with tough skins. Easy to operate.

Perfect replacement

Replaced the older disposal that was here prior to us buying the home. I did some researching and decided to go with the insinkerator, replaced the old one and it had been great. It’s super quiet and runs like a champ not to mention that my wife loves it too.

Very quiet and heavy duty

The unit is very quiet, you can’t hardly hear it run. The bottle for the bio-charge was a little difficult to get to stay in place, it kept falling out, but all is well now. This is a heavy duty disposal, and has the market cornered if you have a septic system.

Like the unit but have trouble getting the bio charge to work. Is there a trick to getting the new bottle charged?

Quiet and smooth. For those of us with septic systems who know from experience how important it is to keep the septic system balanced, the Septic Assist is a great way to have a disposal . I’ve never chanced using one before and am still very careful about what I put in it. The one major problem I have is changing the bio charge bottle. I can install it but don’t know how to charge it so that it will begin to dispense.

Their was a quirk with the fluid bottle installation but with the help of the East Coast Rep, problem solved

It's a terrific p[iece of equipment and customer service is on the top of the list., Don't look at anything else.

Almost silent operation

This product replaced a 15 yrs old one that died. It is significantly quieter and there is less vibration when it is running. It does take a bit longer to grind citrus rinds. But, I am pleased! My husband reports it was not too difficult to replace, using the drain ring left in place from the older model, since that is standard across the line. But getting the plastic guard piece out of the dishwasher line was difficult. He had to dig it out piece by piece.
