Great Disposal for Septic Systems

Purchased this after buying a home with a septic system. Had an Insinkerator system in my former home and loved it - but had public sewer there. I was not sure initially what could be used with a septic system. After researching, I was happy to find this product. My fiancé was able to install it one afternoon. It is very quiet. The enzyme bottles can also be purchased for refill.

Not to buy this model made for septic tanks

I replaced my old garbage disposal of 14 yrs with the same model but the new one is not dispensing the liquid. When I contacted insinkerator they said they had been having problems with the dispenser not releasing the liquid. I would think they would have taken that model off the market until the problem was resolved. They are willing to work with me about replacement.

Great Garbage Disposal

For those that have a septic system, the Septic Assist Feature reduces the time required for the septic system to be emptied out due to the food scraps that are scraped into the sink and from the dish washer (if attached - like ours is). It is a heavy unit and was not easy to install (even though we replaced an identical unit, which was 12 years older. It is February 2022 and the biggest issue with this unit is availability. Went to numerous sites and you are looking at 8-12 week delivery time...

I Pick this product because I have a septic tank syste

It works great and even does oranges oranges and Apple cores without any problem. I am impressed with how quiet it is. I have had 3 or 4 garbage disposals my lifetime and this is the best one yet.

Vibrates.

Does it's job, but vibrates bad! Can;t get it to stop vibrating.

Best addition to our septic system

This was recommended by our septic tank cleaner. Installation wasn't hard. The hardest part was connecting the outlet pipe to the street pipe. No leaks and we bought the air button accessory, very nice. The addition of this disposal has helped out dishwasher be more efficient and cleans better.

Very quiet!!

Just got it and installed it. Very big motor. Impressive warranty. Extremely quiet! Almost thought it was t working right. Haven’t had long so can’t speak to durability, but impressive so far.

Quiet works well

Replaced exact model that had lasted 19 years. Only version I’ve see that works with septic

1st one burned out in a few months

After install the bearings burned out after just a couple months of use. The company was great about replacing it promptly. I hope the 2nd one holds up.

Leaks

Bought this in 2017 and it started leaking from the bottom a few days ago.

Good, albeit large, unit

Fairly easy to install. Quiet compared to other disposals I've used. It is large, and you need to have clearance around it to be able to insert and remove the enzyme bottle

Not So Easy Change Out Replacement

This unit is heavier and wider than the older model Septic Assist. I had to cut the hot water stop back to the wall to accommodate the unit. I used a brick to lift the unit, so I could turn it onto the ISE flange. I would recommend a second person to lift the unit for an easier install. I’m not a a fan of the hose clamp tailpiece. I prefer the older model tailpiece with the screw flange. All in all, a quiet and heavy duty disposal.
