Lots of Power, Easy to Use

Great for a small cnc

I run this in my homemade cnc machine. Runs for a few hours at a time. Great power level and runs 1/4' shank to 1/2" shank bits great!

Feels great

Metabo Router

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my first router that is over 1 HP and it is ultra useful. Compared to my previous routers there is plenty of power. Albeit, I have only used it with bits under 1" diameter it does a great job and the speed control is very effective. I don't love the cam lock on the plunge router base. I always find myself struggling to plunge it smoothly. Additionally, the cord protruding out the side of the motor instead of the top is a nuisance. Love ...

This router seems to have enough power to do most tasks. The only issue I have is with the plunge mechanism. It seems to stick in the most un-useful positions. Down when I need it to go up and up when it should slide down. Maybe after some use it will loosen up and this will not be a drawback.

Great Quality Router

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This router has all the power to do what I need it to do. A great addition to the Metabo tools in my shop. Worth buying a second to have one in my router table and another free to have around. One drawback is the plunge base doesn’t pair so well with my router table, but I plan on using a router table lift soon so that won’t matter shortly.

Highest quality and very fair prices!

As far as I am concerned you cannot get better products than those made by Hitachi/Metabo. Over the years I have exclusively purchased only their tool products and have never had a negative experience with any of them. The added benefit is that all of the Hitachi/Metabo 18V batteries fit all of their 18V tools so no need for multiple chargers for different batteries and different product brands. I find their tools to be of the highest quality and always a very fair price.
