Diverse capabilities and very powerful

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Had this for about a year now. Haven't used it a whole lot but have had it configured both as a plug and static router. Side grips are great for control and the precision of the bit height adjustments is very precise.

Powerful for 2 1/4 hp.

All I could ask for!

I was very impressed with the quality, fit & finish of the tool. It has all the power I require and the included accessories are a real plus. Did not fit old router table so had to build new one. Metabo Variable speed router

It has been a great addition to my shop, in fact I was using it this weekend to round over the wings on a toy biplane. The ability to use both 1/4" and 1/2" router bits and the speed control make this a very handy tool. My 16 month old grandson is also glad I bought this so he can fly around the backyard.

Great mid size router

I only have it in fixed base as I already had an M12V and an M12V2 when I bought the VC so I didn't really need it to have plunge capability. Unlike some routers that want to rip the router out of your hands when you fire it up, this router starts easily and smoothly. Solid router

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had this for a while. Replaced old craftsman 1/4". Works as described except bits are EXTREMELY difficult to remove from collet. Tension is too tight.

nice router

Bought this last year on sale for $99. Can’t beat it. Nice and smooth. Comes in a huge case and with all bushings. I love it.

nice router but changing bits cumbersome

There are a number of very good features such as the extra large base for the plunge base. The price point also a big plus. The one problem I experience is that the wrenches for changing bits are based on a square nut for the collet versus a hexagonal pattern. The wrenches are straight and not angled. It is difficult to change bits with the base on because the wrenches cannot be moved to get better torque without hitting the sides of the base. Hexagonal or angled wrenches would solve this p...

I have had 2 others routers in the past, and they never worked like this router does. This works best of all the routers I have. It’s powerful, smooth, and quieter than the others. I’m a Metabo fan for life now!

Good Quality
