What Customers Are Saying
The Grip-Rite deck screws have a mixed quality. Many users praise the screws' durability, corrosion resistance, and self-tapping design that makes them easy to drive. The Torx/star drive head is also appreciated as it is less prone to stripping compared to Phillips heads. However, a significant number of customers report issues with the updated thread design, stating that the screws strip out easily, especially when screwing parallel to the wood grain. Users also find the screws do not grip or hold the wood well, and the threads tend to clog with wood fibers. Some customers recommend exploring alternative brands or reverting to the previous Grip-Rite screw design.

Would RecommendFenced around my house with treated wood. Very easy to drive and look very professional in pickets. Worth the money and time to know they won't rust!!

Works great
Would RecommendThese work great. 450ft of privacy fence. No stripped heads and only a few broke. Use an impact and you can’t go wrong.

New design
Would Not RecommendThey redesigned they for 2019, the screw is now terrible. Hard to start and pops WAY to easy
POOR Desgn, no hold
Would Not Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wanted to let everyone know these screws are very poor design. The threads are not deep and they do not hold well and also difficult to start. Crew complained so bad I had to go buy Hillman bronze screws.

Use them for everything!
Would RecommendThe Torx drive is probably the most reliable for one handed driving, where you may not have or be able to keep direct in-line and significant force applied to keep the bit engaged with the screw. Std. Phillips will slip, skip and strip whereas these are more "Go" - "No Go", either engaged or not. Very helpful. We use screws to build everything on our farm, not just for their superior holding (compared to nails) but also because things are always changing and we like to be able to easily repurpos...
