What’s not to like?

Easy setup via the google home app. I set mine up in the kitchen. It is out of the way and great for music while cooking or setting a timer without having to wash your hand before pushing buttons on the microwave or stove. It also acts as a great conversation starter. I’ve only had mine a short time and I’m sure there are so many other uses I have not even thought of yet.

I am perplexed as to the current viability of the Google Home smart speaker. Since it's inception Google has added the Home Mini (much less expensive), the Home Max and now the Home Hub with a digital display (costing just slightly more than the Home speaker. Google 'HOME' unit

This product from google is the "HOME" unit, It is basically a speaker system for Wi-Fi. It also has an assistant. I do have the mini which I use in another room. The system works well and is a lot of fun. My husband ranks as chief in regards to the speaker system! I'd recommend this product. Well built and I assume it will last a very long time until some updated technology is added in the future as with any system.

Google Home Review - Google Wins

Great product

This google home is the one that I would definitely recommend over the others. It’s like the in between of the 3 (being the mini and the max). It is louder then the mini while being much smaller and sleeker then the max. I think it is great for a smart home system. If anyone is thinking about getting into virtual assistants, this is the one to go for. Note: it doesn’t seem to have the problem the google max does with shutting down my WiFi, it’s my preferred google smart home system to use.

Just ok!

Sorry google, we have Alexia, she seems to be more sociable. Google tends to be more serious. It does give interesting information and my grandson loves the Disney games! Guess we need to just get more comfortable with it and learn more about it.

Google Home

First off let's start off with stating my tech skills, it is moderate at best. I found the set up of this product very very easy to do. Simply download the app and plug in the Home. Follow the questions on the app and just like that you have all the features. In no time at all I was playing music from the speaker. NOT Home Alone Anymore

Great standalone device to answer your questions but even better as your home automation hub. Use it with other devices (I received Google products) but understand that it is usable with some other brands as well to control lights and appliances, listen to music around the house, control the thermostat, security devices, etc. Pairing with other Google products is very simple. Would recommend for even the most novice and - if you need help to make it work - ask one of the grandkids.

Easy Quick Setup

This is the second Google Device I have set up. I chose to put this one in our shop so I can listen to music while I'm working on projects. For the size of the home device the power is amazing. The sound is perfectly clear, no echo, no static. Set up was just as simple as the Google WiFi, like wise the update of software took the longest. Great Product to build your smart home around!

Fun item to have in the house. I have the home and now a couple of mini's too. All are in different rooms so no matter where I am I can ask them to do something like turn on or off or dim a light. Adjust the thermostat. confusing

I will admit that I'm NOT a computer genius, but all these Google Home products are IMPOSSIBLE to get working. I tried for nearly 2 weeks to get the products to function, with no luck. The odd thing is, I had NO PROBLEM installing and using Alexia, you simply download the app and connect, not with GOOGLE. I just found out today (1-2-19) that Google does NOT allow you to download and install ANY of its products on a Laptop OR Desktop computer, you MUST use a Tablet. Which is a complete joke, now ...

Google Home Better Sound

We have several Google Home Minis and find them very useful for shopping lists, play music or Cast music on Chrome Audio, control the thermostats in the house, weather forecasts and looking up general information on the web. The Google home has all the same features as the Minis but with better sound. We find this particular useful in our kitchen when we don't have a speakers from our larger audio system.

Lower sound quality but great AI.

The sound quality of this speaker isn’t as good as the Alexa. Nonetheless, the assistant is far super to Alexa.

Hard to differentiate from the Google Mini

I now have three Google Home Mini units, this Home unit and a Home Max. I, so far, haven't been able to differentiate them other than sound quality and while the Max has clearly the best quality it's not up to par for complex, large group music. It needs a much better equalizer. I'm also running two Wi-Fi networks - my original one on an Acer router and a new one on the Google Home router. Very good sound quality

I have used this to control my GE smart bulbs, ChromeCast television, Nest thermostat and one google smart plug. It connects and works flawlessly with them all.
