Terrible

All wires were there including the “C”. Confirmed with an HVAC tech and and electrician it yet 2 of the 3 stats were not detecting C or white wire

Doesn’t hold temps

I bought this with high expectations, however, not being able to set a temperature and hold it for an extended period of time is a bummer. I purchased this for an Airbnb home, with the thought of saving a bunch of money, which I will, but being able to “hold” a temp for an extended period of time would have been ideal, and a no brainer with the technology of a smart thermostat. Having to log in every day to reset the temperature is a hassle to say the least.

Had it installed two weeks ago as part of my Electric company’s plan. So far impressed with its function and my ability to control it.

Love it

We really like the idea of being able to set the temperature from our phones wherever we are. I don't have to get up and change it anymore. Also being able to apply the schedule has helped us so much

Excellent thermostat

This is the third smart thermostat I have used. It was easy to install. It is fairly intuitive making choices simple. Programming is much better and simpler than my previous thermostat experience with brand Honey….The unit is small and attractive. Controls are easy to learn.

Awful experience

Let me start by saying that we have 2 older nest thermostats that we love and installed ourselves in our house in Louisiana. I attempted to install one in my parent’s house in PA. First, it turned the system on, but blew cold air instead of hot. Then, we called installation/tech support while the hvac service guys were here. We got nowhere. The support team was over their head and couldn’t answer questions from the hvac guys or give us any information that would help us install it properly. ...

Nest thermostat

It’s a thermostat and it works but it isn’t easy to use and is always being disconnected from the internet..I have a difficult time finding where to program and adjust the parameters so I can set it and forget it.

Easy and reliable

I found this to be very easy to install, I had the 5 wire already ran new, If you do not have 5 wires take the Green wire on the board and put it on C then you need a jumper between W and Y on the board with 18 gage wire and the power off. Other way make sure you have the same color wires matching on the thermostat, yet if you have a 5 wire it will be R is Red, Y is yellow, W is White, G grn and use the Blue for C on the stat and the board

Disconnect from Wifi

If I can get it to stay connected to wifi, it would be better. Get the real NEST thermostat and be happy.

Hold

There is no easily visible way to hold a temperature while you're away from your home for any length of time.

Instructions lacking

After installing the thermostat I was unable to get the device to work as demonstrated due to my system being an older HVAC style and the installer had taken a creative approach to putting together the electrical panel, or some hack had really done a number in replacing components in an illogical manner, either way the common wire wasn't exactly where is should have been. Convenient

I like my new nest thermostat, it offers the convenience of monitoring energy efficiency while maintaining the temperature at a comfortable level.

Not very smart

Looks great on wall but won’t respond to presence sensing and location services to go from home to away. Been with t3ch support 5 times and no help. Frustrating

Minor issues...

Product worked great for the first two Weeks. 1 of the 3 units consistently drops off the network. I am having to weekly reset the device and add it back on the network. Other then this issue, they work just fine.

Works like advertised

A little difficult to install and set up, but after several tries, it's installed and working. Most useful thing is being able to control the downstairs Nest thermostat while upstairs. While I don't leave home much, some users might like the ability to turn on the AC/heat remotely a little before they arrive back home.

A Look Great and Works Great Thermostat

I will admit I was a little nervous when installing the thermostat because I had no experience with installing on before. However, it ended up being fairly easy once I got the settings worked out. Ever since then it's been working great.

Does not recognize wires that ARE connected. I can't use it.

Very very limited on features kinda disappointed. If you want a simple bare bones smart thermostat than it’s great. Was just expecting a little more.
