Would not charge

Never charged, kept shutting down. I had to take it out again. It kept saying the Rh was not working too. It worked with the old thermostat.

It's easy to install and the online tutorials are perfect. Set up through the app is fairly easy

Connection headache

I don’t usually write reviews. I have tried and tried to install a nest thermostat but still not working. It keeps saying that it cannot connect to the internet. I have TVs that can stream videos. My appliances can connect. My phone works. Everything works but a nest thermostat. I even called google support. After over an hour on the phone they gave up too. These things must not work or if they do they are flaky. I guess I am stuck with. Two of these. Look elsewhere if you can.

Great for the Basics

I bought the Nest so have remote operation of my shop and data on the furnace runtimes and current temperatures. It does exactly that. I am not using any kind of temp programming. I have the Nest Learning thermostat in my other building (rotating chrome ring) which is quite a bit more expensive for the same basic use. I was very happy with the new Nest Thermostat controls (sliding your finger on the right side) and the effective display. One drawback might be if you are left handed.

My previous Nest Thermostat was the original model, which is now). called the Nest Learning Thermostat. Thought I would save a few bucks, since I never used any of the fancy learning stuff, and got this less-capable model. It works good, but adjusting of temperature up and down by scrolling on the right side doesn't work very well for me - very sensitive and difficult to set the exact temperature I want. Disappointing model - features

I am a big proponent of Nest products and the platform in general as I was an early adopter of the original Nest/Dropcam dating back to 2016 or so. Awesome

One of the features I like the most is that it sets a comfortable temperature in my home. It is rare that I have to adjust it. I love the fact that I can change the temperature from my phone if necessary.

Second set of Google Nest Thermostats

I recently moved from a townhouse to a single-family home. Feeling blessed. We had the Nest Thermostats (gen 3) and loved them. And of course, we had to install the Google Nest Thermostats at the new house. This time around, we installed the latest version. Nest Thermostat 2020 is junk

Replaced a 7 year old Nest thermostat, as there were issues being commanded out of ECO mode. Decided to go with new Nest 2020 (basic) thermostat. Nest Thermostat Review

Unfortunately, the inability of this thermostat to handle additional sensors makes it completely not usable in our home. This is a huge step backwards since the google acquisition of NEST and represents a rare backwards move that forced us to abandon Google/NEST thermostats.

Great little thermostat!

I love this thing. I also own the more expensive Google Nest Learning Thermostat and love it too. But for a much better value, you can get this great looking thermostat that has most of the functionality of it's bigger brother. I use it to control/monitor my lake cabin in cold Minnesota to make sure the heat is working through the Winter.

Good but not great.

The device is pretty easy to install/setup but there are some things keeping it from 5 stars. For one the humidity reading is very inaccurate and always displays at least 10% higher than the actual. Often it seems to just get stuck at over 70%. I have two Nest Thermostat's and both have this flaw and there are countless reviews online with the same complaint. this is the best product ever! control your heat/ac from your phone home or away! Never heat or cool when away save money set times to run and shut off be eco friendly. wish I had bought this years ago. Very easy install.
