Would RecommendIt is quite easy to install the Nest Smart Thermostat once you followed the instructions. But do remember to power off your furnace while connect the Nest wire. Made mistake and burned out the furnace fuse.

Doesn't connect , stops and starts constantly
Would Not RecommendReceived as a gift . Constantly stopping and starting the HVAC, no support from Nest . Nothing worked on trouble shooting . Our home was built in the 70s . Disappointed

Not easy to use initially!

Weird looking and not easy to use
Would Not RecommendFirst off, I did not like the way it looked. It was round and had a mirror face which looked especially weird in the middle of my wall. I also did not find it easy to use and ultimately returned it to the store.

Not as good as the old Nest E series
Would Not RecommendIt does the job, which is why I gave it some stars, but was hard to adjust to after using the E series for a few years. The new thermostats also don’t work with the Nest app and the Google Home app is terrible and not intuitive at all. Since I have the E series for one zone and this new version for a second zone, I have to manage details in two different apps. Very annoying and, as stated, more difficult to use than the E series/Nest app.

Don’t waste your money
Would Not RecommendI love the idea, but the unit disconnects from wifi EVERY DAY — the app says you can’t control the temp, but the unit says it’s connected. The most frustrating “smart” purchase I’ve made. I’d return it if it weren’t past the deadline.

Would RecommendThis thermostat works great so far. Only issue is with the sensors. If your furnace is not zoned, meaning each heater etc controlled independently. Then the sensors are not useful, as they keep the furnace running constantly, making the main room extremely hot. Thank you.

Nice device, UI app not so great
Would RecommendThe device does what it should, looks and functions great. The only negative is the UI for configuring custom temperature settings is buried in a weird place. That needs to be changed.

Would RecommendIt was very easy to install. At 74 years old I did by myself following the instructions. My problem is it seems to go into eco mode if I am not moving past the thermostat. Programming was a bit more confusing at first but I was able to figure it out.
