Doesn't work for what I bought it for.

I bought this to screen cast Paramount Plus from my phone to TV. Sound works, but no picture. Unplugged, replugged, uninstalled Paramount app, reinstalled and still nothing. It works with my phone for YouTube, and texts, pictures etc , I haven't tried other movie apps...

Can't fix the audio delay

I bought this Google TV device to potentially replace my Fire TV stick - primarily because I use Google services for nearly everything else. I have been disappointed, though.The interface looks much like other services (e.g. Fire TV) and was easy to set up and use with the 5 or 6 streaming services I use, but...The audio delay problem is insurmountable. I found the recommended fix in settings for Audio in the Home app, but it's hard to make work correctly. Even worse than that, I have to reset...

Best Upgrade Yet

As an avid user of the Chromecast line and Google products in general, it is understandable for this review to be biased favorably. The Chromecast with Google TV is still a Chromecast and accepts media from any compatible device. It is the "with Googlee TV" software that elevates the functionality of this Chromecast. Being able to browse other streaming media services with quick access to YouTube and Netflix on the included remote does make the experience more familiar for those recent cord cutt...

Not what Google Fiber TV was

For someone who has lived peacefully using the remote to the TV for many years, I would like to offer Google my assistance in making their Chromecast TV remote and menu much more customer-centric/user-friendly. Yes, the price is much lower, so is the product. Oh, the network connection is fine (in my household). Google TV isn't worth it's price. It's going to last me for about another month, before I cut the TV cord completely and use my newly purchased antenna with my TV remotes.

The UI is very slow needs some refreshing. Also apps tend to close by themselves.

Been enjoying android TV since launch and now Google TV is even better. I've recommended it to my family and friends. Can't wait for new features.

Just meh..

It's great to be able to watch all of my entertainment apps and subscriptions in one simple location. This a huge convenience, but I've had sluggish playback on my tv with Chromecast, if on pure wifi and not Ethernet connection. Wifi Chromecast = buffering constantly. Direct ethernet Chromecast = happiness.

Chromecast with Google TV

Love the remote with google chromecast. Have bought 4 and have only had 1 issue. 1 of the remotes stopped working with the chromecast. Have tried changing out the batteries, but the remote appears to no longer be linked with the chromecast. I havent had a chance to look into fixes, but will hopefully be a quick fix. Having the remoteis really helpful and makes surfing content to view much easier.

I’m having connectivity issues with the remote. I connects sometimes which puts a damper on the experience. I would give a 5 Star if the remote was not finicky.

It works most of the time, but not all of the time

I've had to factory reset it a few times, but when it does work, it works well. Just annoying to have to go through the whole process every month or so.

Almost there...

This has been fun to play with. Of course it could improve in many areas, but it's still a bit more reliable than the others i have used. Incorporation of other "Live TV" guides would be nice to have. As well as being able to add watchlists from other apps (Vudu, Pluto, etc.)Looking forward to seeing what the future brings for this.

Best streaming option

I love how it's easy to switch between apps to play different shows. The recommendations it shows are great and I love how it has reviews for a lot of shows listed. The only downside is not being able to plug in the power cable to the tv itself. It has to use the included USB adapter to have enough power. But not too big a deal.

I really like this. After being on the fence for a while and reading tons of reviews I pulled the trigger. I really like that it consolidates my streaming services and pushes things to me that I might like. It does it all really well too. A few things are buggy but there are workarounds. Mainly, Netflix shows aren't pushed too much to me and the continue watching and watch list doesn't show much if any content from them. Works great, switching from Alexa and Firesticks to Google

I had Firesticks in the past and switched to this.The Firestick shuts down the bluetooth connection to the speaker when I turn off the projector (where it's connected to). The Chromecast does not and keeps pushing music out with the projector turned off. That is a big plus to me when I want to listen to music but do not want to burn hours on my projector.
