Would RecommendI really love this product. I think this device is important part of Google ecosystem. I’m using this device with my Google home mini. And working perfectly together. My tv is smart but this device smarter than my smart tv. :) Remote is tiny and so cute. Also I really love dolby audio and 4K. Thank you so much Google. <3

Better than most competitors but still needs improving
Would Not RecommendWith my TV (Vizio oled 55”) I notice that the picture quality in 4K has issues. Compared to the Vizio built in quality with the same apps the google tv is worse whether my settings are set for always Dolby vision or for software to use the source codecs. For now I use the google tv on an older tv — in that use it’s a huge upgrade over a non smart tv. I’m sure the issue will be fixed in an update.

Good but a bit slow
Would Not RecommendThe Chromecast is a great little device. I love having the Google assistant a button press away. I love the interface. I love the suggestions. However, it is slow and laggy most of the time. I've limited the background processes in the developer options and it has helped. But it can be very choppy and laggy at times.

Google Chromecast with Google TV
Would RecommendI bought the Chromecast back in first came out and have liked ever since. The controller is fast and responsive. Paired easy right out of the box. Controlling the volume and the channels. Only thing I didn't like it lost paring and had to get support help. Support help was awesome and helped greatly with my issue and I am grateful. Good Jib and Thank you Google Chromecast support! I recommend it to anyone that that wants or needs to have a casting device.

Would Not RecommendDepends on the day how it works. 90% of the time we have no issues. However, when there are issues we either have to unplug and let it sit or we have to reboot the entire Chromecast and reset it up.

Would RecommendGot my Chromecast as a gift. It's simple and it works. I like that it's easy to screen cast my Google photos and videos. My only complaint so far (thus 4 stars instead of 5) is with the remote. I was hoping to do away with my TV remote, but I can't get the input button to work properly. It allows me to select different inputs, but displays the selection on about one-fourth of the TV's screen. Also, I can't pause, fast-forward or rewind with the remote--or at least I haven't figured out how to do...

Would Not RecommendI would not recommend this, the interface is not user friendly, the remote is poor quality, I would rather have arrows on remote the toggle is too easy to hit wrong direction when selecting. The picture motion is not smooth. you cannot delete watched shows or turn off on demand shows from your search. This is a backward step from cable with a DVR.

ChromeCast doesn't work with google home
Would Not RecommendThe Chromecast doesn't work with google home most of the time. When saying "Ok Google", "Play X on Youtube on TV" it doesn't recognize the TV which is already there on the google home app. Sometimes it would just open the HomePage of Chromecast and get stuck there. Not a good product, not recommended. Amazon Fire TV or Apple TV is probably much better.

Would RecommendExcellent streaming stick, easy to set up with your smart phone, excellent resolutionn, clean interface, easy to navigate, straightforward remote with a few multibuttons. The only drawback is somewhat limited storage (8 Gbytes) that requires you to sometimes clear the cache to add another app. Good price too.
