Would RecommendI bought this tool because the panels that hold the crankshaft while using the pull start broke. Result: while pulling the cord, nothing would turn with it. I purchased this tool to bypass the pull start. It worked perfectly. Otherwise it would have been a $100 repair. Thank goodness this tool worked. And right out of the box. I never even charged it and it worked. Great tool. So much better than pull starting. Wish this was available for my push mower.

Would RecommendI couldn't get my weed wacker started, and every place I called wanted $70-$80 to just look at it. I bought this starter for $50, and got my machine working. I like the starter, but I WILL NOT purchase another TROY-BILT product.

Would Not RecommendWe ordered a replacement of this charger and had it delivered to our home. It doesn't even charge. Now, we have to take time out to go find a replacement at the store. What a hassle. The first one didn't last over a year so if you purchase, I would recommend buying the replacement plan that Lowes offers with the purchase.

Would Not RecommendMy Troy-Bilt 2 cycle edger was having problems starting after the first year. So I would use this starter on it for a lot longer than the mandatory 4 second max 120 sec. off/cool down and it killed the strength of the batteries! They should put some sort of beeper on it when you exceed 4 seconds to avoid the same mistake I did. Now it's useless to me, it will spin up just fine but doesn't have enough power to actually start my edger. Wish they sold replacement battery packs for this unit.
