Quiet and smooth operation.

This is the biggest piece of garbage out there. It may work on your wifi but don't count on it from either the keypad that comes with it or from your car remote. I don't know how many times i have had to go around my house to get to a man door because of this junk not operating. It has been an issue from pretty much the day I installed it. It doesn't work well from my car nor from my wife's car. This opener is less than 2 years old and I will be ordering a new craftsman today.... somethin...

Genie 7155 Belt Drive Installation

I purchased this unit after being told that the distance from the motor to the wall was 10 feet, which would have matched my old unit exactly. This would have allowed me to use my existing ceiling brackets. Unfortunately, it turned out to be 9’ 3”. Too short. I thought about returning the unit, but decided to go ahead with the installation and move the existing mounting hardware. All went well. Use a pro and get it totally right the first time.

Dan the Door Man and his son installed. I was impressed with how completely in sync they were with the installation. One of the most competent servicemen I've experienced ever. I'm so glad I paid to have this installed. They finished in less than 2 hours; it would have taken me two days to sort through it all.

Good Quality

Smoooth operator

I like the nice quiet smooth operation of this door opener compared to the chain drive Genie I replaced. I like the smart App and alerts I get on my phone. We get a few windstorms each year so I am looking forward to using the battery powered backup.

I finallly got the opener to work despite the funky wire connectors on the opener. Should be positive screw down connections.

I love the ease of putting it together, relatively speaking to other garage door openers. The only thing I did not like was that there were no pilot holes in the unit to screw in the backup battery where they were supposed to be, so the battery is just hanging on by the two top slots, which is not really a big deal. Also, the sensors for the automatic light turn on is facing the garage door by default. I like to have it face the door in the garage to the house so that when I walk into my garage ...

Nice quiet garage door opener

One thing I would like to see is a full declaration of the powerhead size on the box or in online documentation. A lack of this led to multiple partial installs. Otherwise, this unit installs easily enough. The included sensor wiring should be upgraded to 20ga solid just for ease of handling. Keychain sized remotes would be nice. It is nice and quiet operating. The integration of wifi access and smartphone operability and notification is nice.
