Great tool at a great price!

This simple digital thermometer gun is easy to operate and priced just right. I've been using it around the house to find weak spots in insulation, check the accuracy of the temperature settings of the oven, and annoy the chase the noisy stray cat away with the laser. :-)

Just what I expected

I bought this for a service visit to inspect industrial equipment. The temperature meter worked well for the job that I needed it for. I was only looking for extreme changes in temperature that would indicate an issue with a bearing or other internal components. For instance I wanted to make sure none of the outside surfaces were showing an unexpected temperature spike of 30-50 degrees or more. I have only used it one time so far and I am not able to comment about the accuracy of the temperature...

BOUGHT IT TO TEST MY MOTOR HOME BRAKES FOR OVER HEATING.THE TEST GAVE ME ASSURANCE THE BRAKES WERE WORKING FINE.HAD FUN TESTING ALL TYPES OF THINGS AROUND THE HOME,SUCH AS WHAT TEMP. Great Product For The Price

I am using it to do some simple energy auditing throughout my home. It is easy to use. Just point it and pull the trigger.

Good product for household everyday use.

Coverage zones are good and will identify temp differential pretty well. Laser aim is convenient and accurately.

Useful temp scanner

We got this temperature scanner to see if the wall was warm enough to be painted. At first the information on the screen was a little confusing. We did learn that the scan must be done slowly so the unit can sense the temp correctly.

Really good handy Tool. I have used Specialized Infra Red Guns which cost over $1,500.00, the is more than adequate for Homeowner / Hobbyist use!

Junk

The temps are all over the place, no accuracy and is a waste of money. It was so bad that we went and bought two more of different brands just to make sure, and they worked perfect and were withing +2 to -2 from each other every time

great value, but

I bought this to use at work, it works great and I use it daily. The only thing I would would change would be to add a trigger lock. It tends activate in my tool pouch while I walk. I would reccomend it !

Measured an ice cube at 180F...

I purchased an IRT207 yesterday. Took it home and attempted to measure the temperature of an ice cube, just to see how accurate it was. I measured several times at distances ranging from one inch to one foot, with the ice cube sitting on my kitchen counter, and got readings ranging from 36F (high, but possible) all the way up to 180F (not possible, regardless of the target spot). Waiting to hear back from manufacturer as to their thoughts, and obviously taking this one back to Lowe's. Also - $20...

did just what it was supposed to do

I know my house isn't as energy efficient as it should be. have had salespeople out trying to sell windows, doors, insulation. Thought I'd check on my own to see where I was losing the cooling battle (windows or attic). Was very surprised to see how much heat is coming through the windows. this was a very inexpensive tool to do just that. Am very satisfied with it.
