Like the fact that the setup will allow automatic transfer in case of power outage

too loud ,exhaust blackened the exterior louvers on all sides

way too loud, exhaust blackened the exterior of the louvers. took way too long to break in ,kept burning oil like I have never seen and Im a heavy equipt mechanic. I would go to the QT series they are alot quieter .

Great installation

Excellent design and very user friendly

The generator is very quiet and efficient. Our installer was very professional and gave us a thorough tutorial on how to operate and maintain our generator. I especially like the app that gives up to the minute access to information about the operating status of our unit. We enjoy the security and peace of mind knowing future outages will not disrupt our lives. We highly recommend this product.

This unit was just installed but, I have not had a chance to experience the actual operation.

This unit has all the bells and whistles except I was surprised to have to purchase a WIFI adapter and pay an annual fee for being able to monitor it from my iPhone and computer.

Great generator - whole home

We had a whole project management team receive, install, and start up the generator. As far as Generac is concerned, it took a while to get this generator shipped, and when shipped, they drop shipped on our driveway without placement (or forklift) to the desired location. Moreover, the communication and information sharing with Generac was to be desired as I had to constantly call Sam's for an update from Generac with lack of information as to when/how the generator would ultimately be shipped/...

So far, So good!

First a nod to Jason and his crew for a nice neat install. Unit was in service Friday PM and we had a storm and power failure early Sunday AM. Generator took over and is humming along nicely!

Outstanding Producy

Generator is a fantastic product. The transfer Switch for a 600 amp service is very expensive, 50% of the cost of the generator.

Great product!

The company I used did a great job installing the Generator and removing my old one. What wasn’t done at the initial installation was handled by the company within 4 days. And the generator is quieter. The only suggestion I have is that the new transfer switch is completely locked and does not tell you if the power is out and when it comes back on. The new generator seems to be very automatic - I think more user friendly.

This is our 2nd purchase and have been very happy with the performance of the Generac Generator. A great value for peace of mind!

Too early to tell but looks promising

We installed the 38KW machine from the QS series of standby generators. The installation is about a week old at the time of this review and hence the 4-star qualified review. What we can say is that the local company (dealer and installer) we dealt with was excellent. It worked as described

The morning after the install the power went out for 5 1/2 hours. Unit came on and performed as we were told it would.

Delivered as PROMISED

I have been pondering a Generac purchase for a few years. After hurricane Harvey I really got serious about doing my homework. The sales staff did a great job of bringing me up to speed quickly; And, once the generator was setup, the features were amazingly simple to understand and use. When you make this type of purchase the last thing you want is to get another set of “to dos” on your list. The Generac generators run themselves while providing peace of mind.

Will power my whole house

Suggest making the color available in green to match landscaping.

Generac 38kw

I have a 6800 square foot home. 6 central a/c and heating units. Pool and spa. 2 refrigerators and 2 freezers. Has no problems running everything in home. Cannot hear unit run in home. Its sits on 7 foot stand over wooden fence. Everyone passing down street sees the Generac unit. I get more people ringing my door bell asking me about my Generac Generator. I tell them this the best purchase I ever had made. Have no problems what so ever. Thanks.

Just got it online

So i can't vouch for it's durability, appears the be well made. From what I've been told, Generac is super picky about warranty issues, so only have certified techs work on it if you can afford that.

Excellent performance

Had it installed about a month before Hurricane Laura. We had 3 families living here for a little over a week until the electricity came back on. It worked flawlessly as expected. Thanks for helping my family keep the everyday things we take for granted.

Works Great...Very Quiet

I had the Generac 38KW QS installed by McQuage Electric. The unit is much quieter than the 25KW Generac we had before. Also, would like to recommend Troy McQuage w/ McQuage Electric for the installation. He was slightly higher than two other bids but his professionalism was well worth the difference. He did exactly what he said he would do, when he said he would do it and also required they get a permit...something that I wanted anyway. Total professionals! Would highly recommend them to...
