Mobile Link for Canada
Would Not RecommendSeveral years ago (ie 2-3) generac sent a note to all Canadian customers indicating mobile link did not keep up with the improvements in the Canadian cell network (it wasnt worded that way but thats the reality), with very short notice our mobile link service was cancelled, the monitoring fee was refunded, but not the hardware and initial cost, when i asked, i was told mobile link would have a Canadian solution within a year...please confirm if mobile link has a solution, if not, given you aband...

I like the clean look and ease of use.
Would RecommendI am very pleased with Medich Electric that installed my unit. They did a wonderful job and I am really like the clean look of this unit. The ease of getting to the places that I will eventually need to get to ie: oil filter, air filter, etc is well thought out in user friendliness. I that you for a product well thought out.

annual fee is insulting
Would Not RecommendMany of my new home devices all offer free internet connectivity and total control and access when away from home (devices that cost less than $200) but for some reason this company wants to charge an annual fee to unlock simple services....this after paying over $13,000 for my Protector QS series. Come on this is an insult!

Charging for common functionality?
Would Not RecommendWith what I paid for the whole house generator you would think that it would come with the ability to receive alerts, check history, change configuration, etc through the app. Instead there is a monthly charge to access that functionality in the app.

Would RecommendWe can see how much time and effort Generac has put into the WiFi and Paid Fleet Management, we appreciate having our dealer keep track of our generator day to day so we don't have to worry about it. I read some reviews and its a shame some folks weren't explained how this system works. Just adding additional cost makes no scene to those that don't want to use the service, and only charging those that see the value. Mobil Link is a GIMMICK
Would Not RecommendThe mobil link app is a joke. Today after the utility power was restored the generator shut down as normal but the app continued to show the generator was running for at least 30 minutes past it shutting down. This generator is installed at a temporary residence and if I weren't here today while the utility power was off I would never have known the generator was running unless I was to log in to the app at that particular time. WiFi enabled...with an expensive catch
Would Not RecommendI can buy a $20 smart switch for my home and configure and control that switch with software that is provided at no charge and without any recurring fee. It is an insult to be told that my wifi enabled standby generator, at $10,000+ to acquired and install is wifi enabled only with a $40.00 monthly fee. That fee is $100.00 higher annually than the annual service contract that was offered to me by the installer, and all I would get from the service contract is an oil change and filter. Neither of...

Would Not RecommendThis is a mediocre product and not worth the money. The functionality is quite limited. A far better solution would have been to allow the user to access the generator via the generator’s IP address. This is how any new network connected printer, your home router, and lots of other devices work. To make matters worse, the unit’s ability to connect to a Wi-Fi network is limited. Late notifications
Would Not RecommendFor the first year of usage 2017-2018, the notifications received when the generator was turned on due to power failure or monthly maintenance runs were routinely 4-10 hours late. Today they are regularly 1 hour late. So while it is helpful to know the status of my generator an hour ago, I would rather know the status RIGHT NOW. Because of the late notifications it is not possible to use them as trigger events for home automation which was the reason I bought this in the first place.
