I expected more

the app doesn't do much. you set up the text and email notifications online,not in the app. It was expecting to be able to monitor generator load.

1st MobileLink Only Lasted 14 Months

Given the price for the MobileLink hardware, and the annual cellular fee, it is an expensive service. My MobileLink hardware failed after only 14 months. Based on MY experience and dollars spent so far, I would NOT recommend the MobileLink device unless you have money to burn.

Cool toy but missing some futures.

I bought the Mobil link for my 22kw standby generator online for $249.00. I felt was bit expensive, But what the heck, I just spent almost 10k on the generator and install so why not right? The Mobil link was very easy to install myself, the only issue I had was connecting the plug into the device after it was mounted to the unit, that took some time due to the small amount of space you have to work in. It does look cool on the side of the unit with its 3 blue lights letting me know all is good…...

Unreliable

This is the 2nd Mobile Link installed on my 15 KW Generac StandBy Nat Gas unit in less then 15 months. It is nice when it works but keeps losing the cell connection. It has lost the connection 3 times in the past 5 or 6 weeks. A flimsy, unrealiable and expensive accessory.

This product could be a life savor. Wish it had cameras too

This System is important, especially since dependency of electric power is a must in freezing weather or extreme heat. Get home quick, or call repaire men on time. When Generator turns ON, it should also turn on a camera or cameras, on all points where power can be cut off. Just in case someone was out there cutting your, phone and electrical power to get into your property. I love my 20k whole house Generac. i

Great App

I’m so happy that I decided to use this monitoring feature. I know when the generator starts and when it stops. It gives me peace of mind knowing that the generator is working and will be ready if I need it when an emergency arrives.

Basically good, but missing loading information

It is easy to use, and gives some basic information. It would be much more useful if it gave loading information. In a long duration outage, it is critical to understand the loading on the generator. Loads can then be managed to extend the time on the generator if needed.

Mobile Link with our 20 KW Generac backup generator

We purchased Mobile Link with our 20 KW Generac backup generator. Generator status is available via email and text message - our installer/maintainer also gets all messages - so no need to call for service. It's a comfort to be to know generator status whether we're home or away. We are very happy with the device and service. It is great to know when power goes out when out of town on travel or when weekly test has ran. Even the Mobile Link unit itself has a green and blue status light on it so ...

A good addition to the system

When I ordered the Generator through my installer he suggested that I get the Mobile Link. We started using it on a trial basis for a 36KW 3phase unit that we use to maintain our computer system and essential business support systems. Like clock work every time my generator exercises my girlfriend and I get a text at the same time and email notifications while the exercise is in progress. We get emailed and texted after each time. While I was away i got the message my generator was in use and my girlfriend called to say she heard something running and didn't even realize the power had gone out. Wel worth the price to know whats going on while you're away

Generator Is Top Of The Line

Great generator and great quality. Very pleased with the generator, transfer switch and convince of using Natural Gas. Stand By Status is free for the first year and it does not live up to The Generac Quality. It takes too long to give me a status update and just last Friday I was out of town when the generator does a 12 minute self test run. I was notified 20 minutes after it started and never went back to normal. When I got home at midnight I did not know what too expect. Everything was ok but...

I always know what my generator is doing

Love it. The best thing is that I know what my generator is doing when I am not home. Also like that it keeps a history of when it has run, exercised ect. Makes everything easy.

Generac Generator Mobile Link

Every day I receive an e-mail that my Generac is in good working order. And once a week after the test run I receive a text that my Generac exercise confirmation: generator running in exercise mode. The mobile link is the best thing I purchase with my generator.

Great Feature for Generator

My Mobile Link was installed at the time I had my Generac generator installed and it has worked flawlessly. My wife and I took an extended vacation after having this device installed and each week when the generator went into maintenance mode I was notified not only on my cellphone but also via email. I would recommend this product to anyone who wants peace of mind. I also have the "cold pack" and recommend this item to anyone who lives in the northern States.

Nice product all a round

Nice to know that I have power when the power goes out. Mobile Link keeps me informed of constant status and the app is a nice addition as well.

But for the Name Perfect

A much needed app. But mobile-link isn't a proper name it is an adjective. Everything on the web is a mobile link. Call the app Generac for goodness sake.

Great Products

Had the generator and Mobile Link installed by the dealer. Service was great, Technicians were very helpful. I can check the generator at any time by resetting the day and time on my laptop. If you do this just remember to take into account daylight savings time. Then I just set the day and time back to where it was.
