Wish it had just a few more features

Just installed last week, so it's hard to give a full and accurate rating of this unit. But were in the height of hurricane season so a full review will be forth coming. Last year we had an 11k propane at our old house, no complaints at all. What would be nice for this 20k protector series is the typical scroll through menu that would boost the features rating. I would like to see voltage line to neutral, line to line and amps.

The Generator was installed 2 days ago

The generator looks and functions great. The installation was smooth. My only wish is that it came with a bigger fuel tank. When tested by our electrician the unit performed great.

This is the second time I have worked w.Rusty and his crew @ Generac in supplying a generator for my homes. They were professional, timely, cost effective and knew exactly how to provide me the product I needed at the right price. Excellent piece of equipment

This 48K watt generator replaces a 20K watt Generac. What is most remarkable is that being more than double the capacity it is much more quiet when running! It is only been activated for two days but we are certain this generator is going to work flawlessly during commercial power outages. It has yet to take on a load with commercial power removed but again we are confident this generator is going to perform without any issues and prevent any business disruptions.

Likely excellent; however, to early to really rate.

Installation, hookup & commissioning was all easy as was the Generac support with the technician performing the start-up. I’ll be able to provide a more accurate review after we witness the programed weekly maintenance runs and actual power failure performance.

Greatest features offered in 30kw products

2nd Generac product for our family. Installed 1st 15years ago with NO issues other than normal expected maintenance. With retirement coming up in the near future decided to upgrade to the only company I know and have trusted for the past 15 years. My old unit is being moved over to the cow pasture to handle the electric fences in times of power outages there, still runs great just found a new purpose. Look forward to years of great service on my new 30kw Generac.

Quiet and Powerful!

I was pleasantly surprised as to how quiet this 48KW unit runs. Enough power to run my entire house (w/ 4 A/C systems). Beats the heck out of the little 15KW unit I had. And it is so quiet!

Super Quiet in a nice smaller footprint

Love my new 48 Kw generator from Generac. It is much smaller than my 20 year old one that I just replaced. half as loud as the old one as well which is awesome. And the new transfer switch boxes are so much smaller than the old ones so now my electrical area looks alot nicer. Not so many big boxes on the side of my house. Looking forward to 15 years of full power when there is a power outage.Thanks Generac.

Easy simple and works well

Bought this after hurricane Irma. I am no where near a great electrician I am a novice but was able to wire it up and works like a champ. I have a 10000 running watt generator and powers a lot in my house including central air. You can easily put more 240v breakers in or take it out.

Very satisfied

Very satisfied with my Generac 48kw. Looks and sounds great! Nice to have the peace of mind knowing it is setting and ready to go if needed.

this is the first auto transfer EM generator

things seem to run ok. and look ok. the real test will come when we need it.

soon as they started it up the fan blade flew off, not a good impression, need to wait a week for parts.

Had this generator a total of 5 days before it broke down. Ran the initial 2 hours for the test fine. When it came time for its cycle, it faulted with a cam pulse error. The wiring harness needs to be replaced now. Just our luck a ice and snow storm is headed our way tonight. Thanks for building junk that wont protect me and my family when needed.

Just what I needed

We live in a rural area and the power and the power seemed to go out a lot, trees blow over on the line or storms. After hutlrricanr Irma power was out for a couple of days, some areas worse. We are on a well so we had no water either. We no longer have to worry about a power outage.
