New unit, failed twice in three weeks

48kW unit, big and bulky, installed less than month ago and lost power twice and TWICE THE GENERAC HAS FAILED TO TURN ON! Working with electrician and still not fixed. So disappointed in this $20K+ “investment”

Good experience with a few bugs to get off my chest...

The lead contractor for my project did a great job. Unfortunately, he did have to spend a lot of time apologizing for the "sub's" work. The concrete pad is below standards and looks like it. For my needs, this transfer switch is a safe / legal way to link a generator to ones home. Total install time (start to finish) could be several hours depending on your particular situation. I have electrical experience and did the install piece meal over a couple of days when time permitted. My main negative is that I wished there was a cover over breakers.

Unit came with a damaged fan blade, and oil is leaking or spilled on bottom of unit. Now i have to hire a certified tech to come out and replace the fan blade since it was damaged in the factory. Unit is also throwing codes, haven't been able to start it. Their air cooled units seem much better.

Happy Customer

I purchased a 48kW Generac standby generator from Auxiliary Power Systems of Remlap, Alabama. Their technicians arrived last month as scheduled for two occasions to: (1) pour the generator slab, and (2) generator installation. Our local utility service was able to run a natural gas line prior to generator installation. The installation itself went well with no issues and has run each exercise cycle as expected.

Comes on when the power goes out!

I live in TX where spring storms and sever winters can knock out power. On May 5th a lightning strike took out my power, in the past that would be a huge problem but not this time. Within a minute my Generac generator automatically kicked in and brought the power back on!

Fired up the first time!

We ordered a 30kW automatic standby generator for our 3400 sq ft house, and sadly the first one arrived badly damaged. We had to refuse delivery, and Generac sent out another one a few weeks later. This generator was in great shape, and after our electrician installed it and wired it up, it started on the first try. Since then it's been doing it's automated self-test each week. The whole process of getting the generator from start to finish was great. Canter kept in contact to let me know when each step would take place. Now we have peace of mind in case of a power outage.

I liked the way the switch is a simple design and heavy duty.

The product has not failed when there has been a lost of power.

We love our Generac

Our generator came online for the first time last night. The power was out for only an hour or so, but It was so nice to not have to worry how long the power would be off. And not having to start with the portable generator. Our 48 KW ran our whole home. I would highly recommend this unit.

Excellent reliable unit; noisy

Installed the 30kW unit 2 years ago and it performed flawlessly through 2 hurricanes and 1 tornado. Lots of reserve for our compound with 2 houses, 3 ACs, ovens, hottub, landscaped and well lit inside. Only complaint is noise. This thing runs at over 3200rpm with LPG supply and while i like the fact ive got >1000 gallons in underground lpg, i wish it had hospital grade mufflers. While im not disturbed, its outside my neighbours bedroom. Im contemplating noise barriers and additional mufflers but...

24kw Generator

Pace installed my Generac Generator today. The whole process was outstanding. Love the Generac, we have had to use it 3 times in the first month so has come in very handy. Did take forever to come as is the way with most everything in 2022.

30 KW

Was toying with a cheaper 24kw unit instead of the 30kw. The 30kw covered the whole house plus pool whereas the 24 needed to have certain loads taken off. Auto exercises and seems to work like a champ.
