Appears good for power replacement

Had our 30 KW unit installed about 6 weeks ago. Pretty straight forward for the installer until we got to the wifi setup. Probably the most complicated setup I have ever seen (and I have done IT work) and took hours to complete. In the end, the issue was our router setup, where THAT installer set selection of 2.4 or 5 gHz to AUTO. Quality workmanship of product and installation.

We had our 48kW Generac installed last week by Auxiliary Power Systems of Remlap, Alabama. The technicians arrived exactly when they said they would and worked steadily in the Alabama heat, including digging a trench from our propane tank to the generator through hard, dry, rock-infested ground. We really appreciated their hard work (and courtesy). They had the generator up and running just fine before they left. Ready for Hurricanes!

We have been wanting a whole house generator for years. Purchased the generator in September of 2021. Did not receive it till June of 2022. Once the generator was installed, we ran the 24 hour breakin process. The generator is quieter than I thought it would be. Easy to fill with diesel and it looks good. So far we are extremely satisfied with our purchase. No fear now when a hurricane hits the Gulf Coast.

Well designed

The generator was installed today and it is running beautifully. The house has been running on it for 2 hours now while we were waiting on the lineman to reconnect power to the house i can barely hear the generator and the house acts like it is on the main power.

RD03022 built well

We chose this model because of the Perkins Diesel engine. Easy to perform maintenance, has long service intervals. Two minor complaints, it should come standard with coolant heater installed from factory, and should come with longer warranty for the price paid.

The product is providing the backup power desired.

While we are still in our initial break in period, the unit is providing the backup power supply as desired. The power level is sufficient and the transfer switch operates as intended. The unit is reasonably attractive and sound level is acceptable. The installing contractor has thus far performed the installation very well, but I am still awaiting the wiring harness to activate the wi-fi/app connection. This panel is too limiting as to circuits it can power. I may return it.

Error code 2760

How to clear 2760 code? Checked battery condition. It stays good.

This generator will do the job done in a normal size home

The location of the Auxiliary Shutdown switch makes it very easy to accidently turn the generator off. A simple fix was to place a guard around the switch. Locating the power wires for the MLG Module was a nightmare. They were bundled with and behind another wiring harness next to the actual generator. They should be placed next to the battery box where they are to be connected. The recommended 5/8" mounting bolts will not fit through the holes in the frame. I had to use 1/2" bolts. ...

You can never get too big of a generator. More power is better..

It looks great and it’s very quiet and I believe that it will do everything that I hoped it would.

Very nice system

Although we haven’t yet had a power outage to fully test this Generac 30kw, the initial assessment of the unit has been favorable. The setup by the approved service provider was expertly performed and all test of the unit were successfully completed. We are anticipating the coming hurricane season in the south east with better than usual expectations. We hope that when the time comes Generac will take care of us.

Unavailability of replacement parts is a big problem

I have a 50kw Generac generator installed in 2007, it has worked pretty well, however recently the alternator on the engine has failed. When I called service to get it fixed I am told that a replacement part is no longer available. They can’t fix it. So I’m left with a generator that is unusable. I can’t recommend Generac generators.

Just Installed, will know more over time. Instalation went great. Commishening of the Generator was also great.

The Generator has just been installed. The commissioning went very well also . Function test performance was excellent. Expecting all features to perform well . Excited to have this 30 Kw Generac installed for Hurricane Season and occasional Ice storm.
