Great Value for the Money!!!

Hurricane Irma came and Generac. Generator ran for ten days without a problem. The area was littered with trees and other debris and the generator survived without a scratch. While other people lost their food in the freezer and refrlgerator we survived without losing any food. If you live in the area that is subject to tropical storms then a generator should be a necessity not a luxury.

Highly recommended / Budget friendly

Installed this switch after Hurricane Mathew last year - worked like a Charm getting us through Irma this year. I have a Generac 5500. Plenty of power for 6 household circuits (including a portable a/c) plus it powers my 220v well pump. Never skipped a beat. I installed the conduit and plug housing outside - my electrician wired it up - total cost of about $1000.00. Simply start the generator and hit the switch.

Living in a rural area power outages are a never ending problem. I had this system installed in early 2012. This has been a flawless unit. Keep it clean and properly serviced for reliable power when it's needed. After hurricane Irma the unit ran for eight days without a problem. I could not be happier.

The 48kWSQ unit is just the ticket

I had a 22kW; however, realized after nasty storm in early May, this unit was deemed insufficient to support necessary elements. Upgraded to a 48kWSQ and now that is the machine! Plenty of power and quiet! I am VERY pleased with this unit.

working flwlessly

My Generac has already proved itself valuable and reliable to me. I am in a very rural area and my power is a little flaky at times. It has already come on at least 5 times that I am aware of and it has been a much appreciated convenience. The longest outage was about 7 hours and there was no issues during that time.

This product is relatively quiet during operation. It doesn't use much gas.

I am really impressed with my Generac generator. It came through twice for me. The first time was about one hour. The second time it was 12 hours non-stop. The power was off maybe 10 seconds and it came on right away. What can I say. I love my Generac generator.

Very nice whole house Generator

This is a very nice whole house Generator that runs a 200 amp service with no issues. The install and set up were straight forward. We have already had to use it on two separate occasions and it worked flawlessly. The automatic transfer switch is super fast!

This unit does everything I hoped it would do

This generator has come to the rescue several times already since installation. One time for almost 72 hours. The auto transfer switch is the best part of the system. No going outside looking for cables and filling the fuel tank in the middle of the night. The only suggestion I have to make this unit the perfect system is to upgrade the manual to be a bit more clear as to how to reset alarms and weekly test run cycles so that a regular mechanically inclined person can perform these things in ...
