A Christmas present that was put to use the first day

The watch worked as it should have until a week after the warranty has expired. It is now useless.

This watch was a gift for me during the holidays! The day I got it I used the live location feature and hike workout. Having access to the app is a great way for people to see what they have accomplished over any physical activity. Satisfied and stoked on rocking this watch.

Great watch, missing some important aspects

Overall this watch is great. Battery last longer than the “A” watch. Tracks workouts well. Only thing I wish this watch kept up with is VO2 max and had a triathlon workout. It offers swim, bike, and run individually, but not together. Not a super big deal, but a mild inconvenience.

So far, so good

I have my Instinct Solar since Christmas. So far, I really like it. The battery lasts for almost a month, and I haven’t had much ability for the solar function yet. Next month I will be I. Hawaii and will get a chance to see the solar charging in action. The screen is easy to read (time and time in particular). Still working for proficiency

I bought my Instinct Solar on December 13. It was my Christmas present to myself. I came to the Solar from years of using the Polar M430. The solar has more features and I'm still working to gain proficiency. I have a couple of issues so far: my home is a ranch with finished basement. Numerous times a day, 3-4 at least, the Solar may not count the times I used the stairs, sometimes saying I only went down and never up and other times no mention at all; the sunrise/sunset seems to be a day off (...

Lack of Instruction Details is a Problem

Lack of detailed instructions makes it difficult to set up and figure out all the features. This might be a great watch but it's hard to know until I can search for, research and try to implement all the info needed for full functionality of this watch.

Works great until it doesn't!

Like the watch. the size is good, and it seems to do what it says. That is until the battery hits between 50% and 60%, then it will crash when trying to track an activity. Every single time! Garbage. I've looked online only to find lots of other users with the same problem, and no solutions. Makes the watch useless for longer activities. I might get 6 hours or so of tracking before it starts to bug out.

What can I say, It does everything it says it will and does them well. Solar keeps my battery charged with regular wear.

Poor charging and batter retainment

I have had this watch for 2.5 years. It is a good watch; however, the battery has never held the amount of charge I would expect after about 4 -5 months of use. It just has 12 days max. Other than that, the accuracy is semi-debatable and upload is adequate for the purpose.

I Love This Great Garmin Watch

I really love this watch, and the fact that it has a "Nanny" reminder, to go out and get my daily amount of activity done.

Like what I've been able to use

Overall, I think it is a good watch. But very little documentation from the manufacturer and it is complicated to use. I wish there were a set of videos on each feature of the watch.

Cluttered and bulky

Returned even after getting a smoking black Friday deal and that say a lot. Heavy, bulky and noticable on wrist. Watch designed with permanent circular data insert in top right corner. Gets in the way of everything, especially mapping. Great battery life, but solar was useless as watch spends most of its time under sleeve or jacket. Love It!

I've had the watch for two weeks now and love how it tracks my health, from heart rate, stress, sleep and activity. I just retired and wanted to try to encourage myself to become more active. The Instinct Solar has! I check the Garmin Connect app a couple of times a day to see how much and the quality of my sleep, check my steps, and monitor my heart rate and stress levels. I love it so much I bought my wife a Garmin Venu so she can monitor her activity!
