I bought it like 4 months ago and all of a sudden the wacth all ways turns off by it self I did a restart on it and something the only way it stays on is if I have the Bluetooth off other wise it goes off

Good basic watch. Solar gives it a couple more days use.

Work only 2 years

I bought Instinct Solar 2 years ago. For the last 5 months, I trying to repair it. First, start to shut down regularly. I found out that some new updates need more battery. So for every activity, I need to recharge. After that, it stops connecting to the phone. So connect is no connect... I tried every solution I found on the Internet but had no success. It was good while it lasted!

Alright sport watch

I've had it for a few years now, it's a decent watch for everyday use, but when it comes to charging, the cable doesn't always connect to the watch.

3rd Watch same problems.

This is my third warranty watch from Garmin but it's having the same issues as the others did. This watch will work fine without any issues but then just start powering down all of a sudden whenever you try to record an activity with GPS. I've tried everything from doing resets to clearing cases to doing factory resets and none of it seems to fix the issue I was told when I warrantied to watch the first two times that the issues I was having were fixed but that doesn't seem to be the case. Garmin instinct solar

I have an issue with my Garmin switching itself off mid activity which is so annoying, it’s fully charged, updated and I’ve checked all settings

After some updates the autonomy sharply decreased

I really enjoyed having the watch with excellent quality and autonomy; nevertheless the battery just doesn't work as it should be ... I used to work several days with different sports: Running, bike, trail, hiking, walk and it really used to work for around 10 days ... now, it just doesn't work, after a training session it just power off or frozen screen.

My watch switches off constantly

I bought this watch thinking I would get at least five years out of it maybe more. How wrong was I, it is just over two years old and switches off at random with a full battery and when I try to log a cycle or any activity, it just turns off. I am taking part in the Hellenic mountain race soon and it was going to be my timepiece and backup (to my edge) for my vitals, it is unfortunately useless. I am not the only one to have this problem, it seems to happen to the full range of Garmin watches...

Fantastic features. Only one flaw I have found

I purchased a while back. But need up getting a Fenix. After so long I wanted to go back to solar. The watch having sat for a while. Now the watch randomly shuts down. Usually during activities. The bigger let down really is I could not get support from Garmin. Or advise on the best way to resolve this matter.

Problem

Good afternoon. I have a problem with autonomy. With a new battery, they run out in 3 days. None of the above helps. What should I do? Send me a patch so that you can work with the watch normally. Firmware does not help

Good feature set but awful battery lifetime

I had Garmin Instinct Solar for a few years only. It’s a very good watch in terms of feature set. I use it mainly for hiking and the apps integration is excellent. The only issue is that now the battery is getting really weak. It only last about 1 hour hiking tracking with GPS, I remember that it lasts almost a day of tracking when new. There is no way to replace the battery and very soon this watch will become a paper weight. It shuts itself down after a few hours eventhough the battery indicat...

Everything is wrong

-Compass is way off! -Temperature is wrong! -Always powering on and off watch to pair with phone! -Pairing cuts off randomly! If everything else is wrong, I don’t know if I can trust the other features but I have no way to check them!

Like very much the features

When it's working it's great however it keeps randomly disconnecting from my pixel 7 phone. Sometimes it's after a couple of days sometimes a week or more. Hence the low rating. I wish it would work consistently .

i love this watch so much. durable and very tech. i wanted to get the data to review in a spreadsheet. is there a way to export the data?

Glitching out

I’ve had my Instinct Solar for just a little over a year and got it as a pre-deployment gift. Towards the end of my deployment the battery life has drastically gone done even on a full charge. And I have to keep it in low paper mode because even when on a full charge after one notification it will shut off and need to be hooked back up to the charger again.

Need a written manual.

I am happy with some features I am using; BUT, I need a written manual.

Horrible. keeps disconnecting from phone.

I need to reconnect/pair constantly. Have reset, updated etc but nothing works. Essentially useless without phone connection.

Good performance until around 2 years of use

Bought two years ago and it has begun to shut down randomly during most workouts and sometimes during the day. More recently seems to have stopped tracking my sleep.
