Great features and data insight with a great price

The watch is solid and it has all the features I wanted from my forerunner. I enjoy using it daily and it's helped me learn more about my health and activities.

Not Good

I bought this watch hoping for an alternative to the spendy Apple Watches, within a week it wasn’t functioning properly. No solar recharge would pick up on the heart rate, half the functions wouldn’t work.

Solar makes a big difference

Battery life is far superior to basic model. Cycling data is very accurate

Tough to navigate at first. After u get it it does everything u bought it for. Battery life is the best since I’m outdoors all the time.

Not doing what it should - tech support not there

I can not get it to send heart rate to the phone continuously. It's a shame. If only I could get tech support.... probably will return it.

Loaded with Features

While not as intuitive as an iWatch, this thing puts Apple to shame with durability. The partner app is fantastic and makes up some of the less user friendly watch widgets. In time, I’m sure it will be a piece of cake. BONUS!!! Download the GARMIN Golf app and the phone auto sends yardages to the watch with push and play features. Open the app hit start round and BANG! You’re golfing. Way cool. Good job GARMIN.

I love this watch at the same time becareful when you buy new toys or things that are not benefiting you. I have done my homework on the brand of the Watch and all the features that come with it my goodness we would be here for a day. You got the timers, little things like a compass, being able to have this watch be a go go gadget watch is a game changer. Before you buy this or anyone Do your homework on what your purpose is with buying a good quality product. Quality is better than quantit...

Very useful watch ever

I love all the features of this phone, especially the smart watch part. Also i like the solar charging.

A tough and capable watch!

One month in and love it so far. My job puts a lot of wear and tear on my clothes and that includes this watch. It stands up to job, even when my hands are bruised and bloody. We'll see just how much it can take over the next year or so. I use this watch to count my steps, calories, time my runs, track workouts, measure my sleep cycles, hydration, weather, and curated phone alerts. That might be about half of what it's capable of doing.

Another tech device with an Achilles heel battery.

Was extremely happy with my Garmin SOLAR until it started shutting off automatically. Apparently the battery fails after 2 years or so. What a waste of $$

Not so good

I had a first one that needed to be changed by warranty (outstanding job) because it just stopped to work. The new one still has some problems: seconds stop showing and the heart rate it is not accurate. I still use it, but I will not buy another one until the quality gets better

Watch kept losing connection

I bought this watch so I wouldn't have to keep charging it all the time. Worked great for about 7 months then wouldn't connect to any mobile device. Tried troubleshooting with Garmin to no avail. Glad I bought a extended warranty because I got nowhere with Garmin.

Solar tool give us more time to recharge

I bought it it’s great got rid of Apple watch it’s just to fancy and I’m from 80’s we don’t care about fancy we care about functional, at the picture i saw fully charger 30 days mine just show 25 top.

Adventure Gear

With an active life style and being on a SAR Team, I bought it to be "gear", not just a watch. I had another Garmin, and for a watch with a few extra features, it was good. But it wasn't the adventure watch that I wanted. The learning curve is steep, but it does more than just tell time and track steeps, so that is expected!

About my garmin solar

I bought it around 2 months ago . Everything is going perfect except the battery life don't know why I feel its decreasing with time. Having to charge it every 2 or 3 days ,despite that I cancelled all notifications related to my cell connected to it .

Loved this watch!

I absolutely loved my garmin instinct for the past year and a half. Sadly, my watch battery doesn't even last an hour on a full charge anymore. I have tried just about everything short of sending it in for repairs.

Bad battery

I boght it 2,5 years ago, the last year it have been shuting off. Battery says 100% after chargein 5 mins, shuts down after 2hours.

If it would stop turning off by itself

The instinct has been turning off by itself when I'm trying to do my run workout

Solar doesn't work

I bought this about 16 months ago, solar charging hasn't worked for over a year. Not a good purchase.
