Great until it suddenly was bad

I bought this watch in December of 2020, and up until one month ago I was very satisfied. In the last month however, the battery life has fallen off a cliff. I followed the instructions to update the software, to clean the contacts, to do a hard reset, but to no avail. Now on Battery Saver mode the watch lasts for less than 24 hours on full charge. great smart watch

I have had this watch for 3 years and it holds up well to everything I throw at it. It tracks all my activities and health stats that I need, and I can sync it using the Connect app on my phone to look at my data in more detail as well as link it to my Strava and Rouvy accounts when I ride in or outdoors. Battery and solar not as good as I hoped

I got this after having an Instinct 2 for 2.5 years. I can charge it 100% (47days) and spend most of the day in the sun and then it will be down 10-13%. How can than be? Solar not working right? Battery isn’t good? Not sure but very disappointed. I charge it more on the wall than my old one that didn’t have solar.

Loved it for a while…

My watch is almost a year old. It has worked great till this last month. It would last almost 2 weeks before needed to be charged. When I charged it. It would always say I had 19 days till I needed to charge. With about 10 days left it would go to 0 and I would have to charge. Now it goers 24 days and it lasts about 2 to 3 days. No warning just shuts off. Today it said 20 days and died. Not sure what to do next??? Tried everything on line. Nothing has worked. Sucks for what you pay!

Rugged watch

I've used this watch in many different environments on land and water. It has treated me very well. My one qualm is that the solar charge takes a lot longer than I would prefer.

Cool watch, battery doesn't last

I bought this watch about 4 years ago and it performed great until about 3 months ago. At first the battery life shortened by a couple days, I could live with that. Now I can't get the watch to stay charged for more than a day. I've tried all the Garmin support recommendations but it hasn't helped. Since this is a solar enhanced battery it's not an easy battery replacement and Garmin support doesn't make it easy to get in contact. Wish the battery still worked, it's a great watch otherwise.

Great but

I am happy with the watch. I wish that it could be used with Garmin golf. I don't need anything complicated, just front middle and back yardages. I thought it would be standard with any Garmin watch.

Awesome watch!

I really like this watch! About the only feature I'd add would be a way to monitor blood sugar. But I really like the amount of time is on each full charge and how many other things it monitors.

Great when it stays on

I bought this Garmin Instinct Solar about 3 years ago. It stills works great, except it shuts down frequently. I’ve tried a reset to default and clearing out the activities, as suggested by Garmin, but still have shutdowns. Turning off notifications seems to help, but not solve the problem. Any suggestions?

Like it, not love it.

It’s on the bigger side but does give you good stats. It takes forever to get a charge on the solar. I’ve had my watch for a year and I’m already having to send it in to be fixed. It shuts off every time I start an activity. Battery drains easily. Even with nothing on and every power saving mode active. Can’t connect it with IQ. Can’t load music. Probably has more great factors that I don’t know about.

This is the best watch I’ve ever owned, I’ve only charged it once since I bought it!

Great watch if it would stay on

Keeps shutting off worked great for a year and now it keeps shutting off , maybe a software issue. Battery is charged . When it ran correctly the battery life was great

battery failure

this watch is a refurb from Garmin to replace the previous watch with the similar battery issue battery won't last more than 2 days and yes I have tried all the fixes recommended by Garmin posts would not recommend this watch with the current problems that I and others are having

This watch is of great quality, and I only need to charge it once a week due to my outdoor activities.

Not a great features

Your battery is sucks after my warranty is over. I need to spend more money to cover the replacement

Provides Great Information

I have owned my Garmin Instinct Solar for almost three years now. There is a multitude of information it provides me, although it is somewhat difficult to navigate all the controls. The watch is a bit too big but you get used to it. The battery life could be longer but the solar assist helps, on sunny days. I do really enjoy all of it's features and I would be lost without it. My next purchase, if this watch ever fails me, will be a more sleek model. I really don't take advantage of the GP...

Garmin Instinct

I love my watch. Its great, the only thing that has disappointed me is that the vibration has failed and it now rattles and sounds like a bumble bee lives in my watch when I receive notifications. I would like to know if Garmin has addressed the issue with its updated product lines before I think about replacing my Garmin Instinct with a similar Garmin watch product.
