So many times we have climbed in an area ond not had any cell service. The Reach Mini 2 now gives us the comfort to go anywhere and still be in touch with the "outside" world. It travels to every crag.

Great product. Easy to use
It’s a great little tool to carry with when hunting or hiking. Lightweight and easy to use

A great additional tool to have in my pocket in the backcountry or just traveling in areas where there is zero to limited service. There are a few areas that it doesn’t work, but I haven’t encountered very many. This is what you need for emergency backup communication.

Love it
It did exactly what it was supposed to do. My wife could check my progress during my entire trip and it provided here with peace of mind. Worth every penny.

Mini two
Have not had a chance to use it in the field. But initial set up was very easy.

Not that great
Considering other options that also provide cell (and satellite) options to both call and push-talk walkie-talkie, and those other options are less expensive and without a high use fee... I wouldn't have purchased. Do your own due diligence ( unlike myself)

Nice upgrade
I had a Spot X for 8 years and luckily never used it. It was time for a new one so I went with the Mini 2. I like the size, features and ease of use. Reccomended.

Works When You Need It
I love this satellite phone! It is small and I keep it on my belt loop. It sends out texts & emails fast. I am always in touch with civilization, even when cell service is down (hacks, emergencies, natural disasters).

Ugh
I need a beginners class on how to use it. Thought I knew how to send a message but nope. Couldn’t figure it out.

Very simple and user friendly
I had this unit in very remote places in Idaho with zero complaints. At times it took longer to send a message with clear sky views than others. At times it sent messages instantly under poor sky views. All in and all worked fantastic!

Liking my Garmin - inReach® Mini 2 so far!
Got a couple Garmin - inReach® Mini 2 devices and they are easy to set up and like the small, rugged and compact size. App works well and pairs nicely. Looking forward to testing this out in the field.

Keeping Safe
I bought the in reach mini 2, because I often hunt alone. It gives me a sense of security that if I should need help it's one touch away. I also checked the text when I was out of cell phone service and it worked great . Very happy having this useful tool on my vest.

Great Safety Net
As an ADV motorcyclist, having this satellite communicator just makes sense. I am hopeful that I will never need to use the SOS feature, but it’s good to know I can if I ever have to.

Used Twice
Worked great the first time, but not sure why the LiveTracking wasn't sent to the two (2) people that I selected the second trip. Could've been user error. Will be using it again in a few weeks. Overall, it has some nice features and it is easy to navigate. Be prepared to pay for the subscriptions.

Worked good and did what it was supposed to do.
I used this on a recent hunting trip and it did work just as described. Some of the other guys had a Zoleo which worked just as good and for a cheaper price. I do like some of the extra options and Garmin makes a great product, this looks like it would make it through the zombie apocalypse. If you don't use all the extra options there is a cheaper way to go. I would give this a 4 and a half stars if available as it does function just as it should and is a nice looking product. The Garmin is much...

Verdict still out
Have not used on hunting trip yet. I did get everything set up and working. Seems to be working ok.. Looking forward to using later this fall on several hunting trip in areas I have not had cell service. Now I can let my wife know I'm alive and have not been mulled by a bear.

I'm linking a section from the owner's manual on how to send text messages from the inReach Mini 2. I'd also recommend contacting our inReach support ...
