Invisible buttons
Would RecommendThe unit works fine, but has a serious design flaw. The printing on the control buttons is dark grey on black. Unless the kitchen lights are on full at night you cannot see the button labels. We have a flashlight near the oven! Either the printing should be white, or better, the controls should be backlit when touched anywhere.

Buy extended Warranty or better product
Purchase extended warranty as ours went out after 17 months and GE was no help after a year. Started shorting out with light flickering on/off when wiping clean. Just glad it didn't start a fire.

Great, except for popcorn
Nice microwave - we love the front touch control panel. This microwave is more powerful than our previous 3 non-profile GE microwaves, but it does not pop popcorn as well as the previous ones. They would pop all but 10-20 kernels of Orville Redenbocker MW popcorn. This microwave leaves 100-200 unpopped kernels. I can add about 15 seconds to pop a few more, but it starts to burn the popcorn. GE, please address this! Very happy with it otherwise.
