Solid big deep microwave

Beautiful and very large, deep microwave. Holds a lot and heats well and thoroughly. Only complaint is to cook for anything other than even minutes you have to manually add a step by selecting “cook time” before typing in cook time. Just slightly annoying. Otherwise, beautiful, large, deep, sturdy, and functional.

Short-Lived Microwave – Failed After Just 2 Years

Disappointed with the durability of this microwave. Despite light usage, it stopped working after just two years—far sooner than expected for an appliance in this price range. Definitely not worth the investment if you're looking for longevity.

Short Life Span, Fire Hazard

This microwave has been the worst I have ever used. It came pre-installed with our home and stopped working shortly after. It has had to be repaired multiple times but stops working a few weeks after. My family stopped using it because it started sparking with every attempt to use it and there is now exposed metal on the inside because the coating has peeled off completely. The "End" light flashes non-stop and sometimes the microwave just starts on its own. We're concerned that it is a fire haza...

Easy to use

This is an replacement however, I have been pleased with the unit.

WORST MICROWAVE EVER

This is the worst microwave ever manufactured. I have never had any issues with microwave in my entire life until I freaking came across this one. We bought a brand new home in Dec 2023 and the builder already had this microwave installed. Less than 1 year using the microwave, it stopped warming up food in November. Got someone from GE and repaired it which was under warranty and what do you know, 2 months later, here we are it broke again. GE would not honor their product and wanted to charge u...

Looks great but function needs improvement

The microwave is nice, however we are having problems with the release mechanism. Adult use only and not abused however after 3 months this problem began.

Interior finish issues

We've had this microwave since Oct 2018. The paint is falling off and now we have buzzing/sparking coming through the cardboard piece on the inside. Previously had a repair shop fix the door that wouldn't open (bad spring or something). Looks nice but never expected the finish to fail.

GE PROFILE Built In Microwave

Died on us in under 3 years. Worked great and then just stopped. The cost to fix it was close to the cost to buy a new one.

Do not purchase

With in 1 year it is damaged. Problem started after 6 months it is not frequently, before 1 year warranty it getting non stop working and sensor not working

Easy to operate

Excellent appliance brand. Always the trusted brand

Short life

Dead in two years. The only usage it got was reheating dishes and coffee. Definitely was not over used during this period

Quality

Purchased all GE appliances during kitchen remodel during March 2022 and it is no longer working. It was installed above the oven. It is not used often and is in a home with no children. I am very disappointed because I thought GE was a quality brand. We removed the microwave to make sure it was not the electrical supply and found that is not the problem. After reading reviews from others, I guess it is not just us.

My third GE microwave. They all work great. Never had a problem with GE.

Bad motor after 18 months

Bad motor after 18 months. Service is more expensive than a new microwave.

Peeling/melting paint

The roof of the microwave is discolored and melting/peeling off on all elevated surfaces. Definitely not normal wear and tear. Our home was built with GE appliances in 2019.

Hot

[Employee of ge_appliances] Very hot and work perfectly ok.you don't use a lot of energy or time to get your food ready. Only down size is you need to know what you warming too hot can break your plate

if I could give this microwave zero stars I would what a piece of junk manufactured in 2023 went out in 2024
