Would RecommendThe microwave control panel is easy to use and the functionality is perfect for our applications, which is generally to defrost, heat or make popcorn. The capacity for our family of 6 is perfect and the dimensions is perfect for the built in kitchen cabinet. The power ranges is very easy to control and we find that it is quick to use for our applications.

Worst ever. Has metal melting.
Would Not RecommendWorst microwave i have had. I see many people talking about the same problems. Mine is 2 years old and I dont use it much! The body edges are melting and it smells bad. I clean it with vinegar and water and is spotless. I would look into Frigidaire if it fits.

Burning electric smell after only 14 months' use
We've only had this installed since around March 2024 when me moved in our new house and it's already needing service because of a burning electric smell. It's apparently not worth fixing and will have to be replaced. I've never had a GE built in and am wondering if I'll ever have one again!

Would Not RecommendThis has been an awful microwave for us. We moved in to this house in 2021 and have had 3 different microwaves of this type that were replaced by warranty. The third one just went out on us and is no longer under warranty.

Electrical Fire Hazard!!!!
Would Not RecommendInside paint is melting and causing white smoke to come out, which could have lead to an electrical fire. Not sure how GE legally put out such a dangerous product. This has happened to me with two of these models.

Terrible!!
Cannot cook a potatoe without a code coming up and have to be turned off by the breaker. Now the wires started sparking and smoke coming out. Nothing but one huge problem since we got it in 2019. And lots of people in our community with perry homes has the same issues. This microwave is a failure. The worst I ever had. And this one is an upgrade high profile. Ha!! Not!!!

Would Not RecommendSo this built in microwave was placed in our renovated kitchen in a cabinet made to fit it. The first one lasted 2 1/2years. I got an second model like it because that is what fit in the space. Now 2 years later this one too quit. It would not be as painful, but the built-ins are so much more expensive.

Disappointed in GE and This Microwave
Would Not RecommendWell here I am looking at all the reviews of the malfunctioning of this microwave. We have actually had several issues with the microwave . 1. Side panel burning out. 2. Light burn out. Now we close the door and the microwave keeps heating and won’t turn off. Resulting In us having to leave the door open when it’s not in use. It’s a big headache to now have to replace. We use only GE profile products in our home but now looking to switch.
