Worked fine for 6-7 years.

We have had this for 6-7 years. It has stopped heating. Still runs. From my research online it is not worth the cost to repair.

installation

Works fine after I went online to learn how to use it because the installers didnt leave the product booklet.

NO-CHOICE PURCHASE

We're on our third GE microwave. The first one lasted approx 6 years, the second one lasted less than 2 years. The only reason we purchased another GE is to match the finish of our other GE appliances. All are almost 9 years old, fridge had one service call, dishwasher had two, range had none (yet), microwave is extremely disappointing.

Last time

It seems to be working okay. The install could have been a little simpler because I replaced it with the exact same model. But appears, there's been some changes made. So I corrected for them, and we moved on. But the Fingerprints on the stainless steel is just the worst. I would never never, by again. One that has that type of face on it also also I replaced it with the GE model, so it match my stove. That was also less than 6 years old. And I was disappointed that the handles aren't the same. ...

Replaces old GE Profile Microwave

Generally, this is a good microwave. It replaces a 15-yr old GE Profile OTR Microwave. The controls are nearly same as old unit and work well. Capacity is slightly larger, the interior is dark grey vs. old was white that made it easier to see in oven. The display is too bright vs., GE Profile range display below, but getting used to it. installing micro

This was a replacement for what I had. Went from Whirlpool to GE. Since this was an undermount i measured the width and a rough estimate of the length did not see any issues with it. When installed the unit is shorter in length than the original. Being 3/4" shorter in depth cause the exhaust vent to not protrude out from under my cabinet. Removed and installed a 1" piece of wood behind the micro to get it to come out of my cabinet. This helped on the exhaust ports getting to blow out from the ca...

Installation

Installation was not easy. I needed a cardboard template instead of paper, it would have been a lot easier.

Works well, looks nice

Just installed myself a few hours ago. Not too bad having done this before, but it’s not a job for the inexperienced. Everything works great. Light is much brighter than my old GE unit (lasted almost 15 years) and the recirculating fan/filters are an upgrade. Sensor cook also seems to work well. Noise level is about the same. Only drawback is the control buttons are a little hard to push and you have to find the user manual online. Overall I’m very pleased on day 1

Nice microwave

My 12 year old GE microwave died recently. This is just about the same one. It has a lot of features that I won’t use but it serves its purpose for us.

Adequate. Surface lighting is disappointing

Granted, this unit has just been installed, to replace a GE Profile over the range microwave from 13 years ago. My first issue is with the surface light. It has 2 settings. The first setting is very dim. I need something brighter to cook! The second "nightlight" setting is fine. I'm hoping I can get a slightly more robust bulb for this new unit. Works as advertised

It does what I want it to do but I wish the light over the range was brighter and I could select power levels.

Great Microwave

This is a very nice microwave with plenty of features. I like the fan boost feature. The popcorn button works perfect.

The door on this microwave sounds to be made very cheaply. Very loud to close and runs even loud. I’m disappointed in it!!

I absolutely love this microwave. The size of it, and how well it heats and also the coloring inside of it. The controls are great with the quantity of choices.
