Good looking microwave

The microwave is brand new but we’ve loved everything about it so far. The blacked out logo on the front is a nice touch.

Piece of junk!

I really liked the microwave until it stopped working. The turn table is rotating but the motors is not starting. Bought in Nov 2023 for a new home in Florida. We are snow birds and have used it a total of 4 months. Piece of junk. GE model number GEJVM7195SKSS.

Hood Light is Terrible!

The hood light is terrible! At the brightest setting still cannot see.

Never again

I noticed instead of 2 surface lights like my original model, there is just one. I hope the quality of this one is as good as my older one. There is a metallic sound when latching. To me this all indicates that, typical of today’s market, the product was cheapened! Hopefully it lasts as long as our first one. Also do not like the dark cavity. My other one was white which was brighter for stirring or moving food. But, saying all of this, hopefully it is still an excellent product.

Good for the price

Capacity is good, but the buttons are harder to press than my previous GE microwave. The door feels very lightweight and flimsy. I like the different fan speeds.

The microwave door is not aligned

Hopefully in the future they can do a better job with the door because when you look at the door is not align it's uneven

I don’t recommend this microwave!

This GE Microwave stopped working after just 2.5 years (single senior, light usage)! The cost to repair it was more than buying a new unit. The over-the-stove light from the microwave was poorly centered and didn’t cast anywhere near enough light. That same light had a bulb that generated a lot of heat, not LED, which would’ve been much more efficient. I don’t recommend this GE microwave.

Glitches

The microwave controls have already locked up a couple times requiring the unit to be unplugged to reset and use the control panel.

Disappointed

It's worked for 5 years and now has gone out. No warranty, we have to replace. This product should last longer than this timeline. Average feelings,disappointed to say.

Honest review: Could be much better

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Well this microwave gets the job done, it's not very powerful. The size is also limited, for putting any large dishes inside. I also think that the special speeds of one through five are limited. Sometimes you need 10 minutes at high cooking times, and I have to continue to reset it. My last microwave was much more powerful, and larger. If I were to have been consulted about the installation, I would have made arrangements for the cabinets abov...

Nice appearance

Very nice look to it. Nice and big inside 1.9 cubic But the paper wall template sucks for installation. Also the 4 speed fan is still loud at low. ( I was hopping for quite fan on low )

You have a great team selling your product at Grand Appliance & your delivery men were very efficient, They are the best, left no mess & when they left I was able to use the Microwave.

Great new features!

I did a lot of comparing between many Microwaves. I was looking for large capacity, as well as easy to reach controls, and handle position. Another important issue for me was the size of the black across at the bottom of the door. In the past, I was unable to look at food inside because the black came up too high. I am very happy with this lower feature. Also, the Express Cook numbers 1 to 5 are a great added feature. I'm very happy with this new GE Microwave.

Works forever

This microwave is the BEST! Ours was installed in 6/2021 and my first maintenance ever done on this is replace the burned out light bulb! In 1/2026!

Decline of once great American brand

First unit failed after about a year; bad control board. Unit failed again about nine months later; bad exhaust fan. This replacement is not operating properly; very loud. I installed GE appliances in all of my houses when I was a builder, but that was thirty years ago. Now, quality seems to have declined significantly.

Nice microwave, easy install

Nice microwave, easy install. We've had it for about 2 months. No problems.

GE microwave.

So much better than the one we replaced. We have mostly GE appliances now in our kitchen. They are dependable and have all the features we need. We had Sam…. before this and it was constantly turning on by itself or having to be restarted to work. This microwave was easy to install and everything works as we expected it to. Nice to finally get what you pay for.

Does what I need.

I love my new GE microwave. Does what I need and easy access etc. Highly recommend this model.
