So small, looks great up and love the reset button

This thing is SMALL but great. I was surprised at how small it is compared to traditional smoke alarms. I wish all of them in my house were this small. When I replace them I will definitely move to these. Easy to install but as you can see - USE a stud finder so you don't punch a bunch of holes in your drywall. Small and easy to install

Way smaller than the thing it's replacing. The 10 year batter isn't replaceable, but I saw that USFA says to replace smoke alarms every 10 years anyways, so that turned out not to be too big of a deal. Looking forward to never replacing a battery. My only wish is that they could have stuffed a CO alarm in there as well!

First Alert Micro Smoke Alarm

Truly the smallest and most inconspicuous smoke alarm I've seen. 10 year warrantee and a ten year battery-you've go to like that! I like the feature that tells you the battery is wearing down, so you don't have to change it at 3 in the morning. This is a battery powered alarm and does not interconnect with other alarms. Great instructions as well included anchors and screws.

First Alert Premium Micro Smoke Alarm i highly

I highly recommend the First Alert Premium Micro Smoke Alarm for many reasons. It's small size makes it very unobtrusive on the ceiling. It has a 10 year battery that eliminates chirps and battery replacement for 10 years. It is made of quality plastic and easy to install. The only tools needed were a pencil, tape measure, drill and screw driver. The installation took only a few minutes. For me, it is important to have added fire protection and warning, especially in stairwells.

Compact and easy to install smoke detector

This mirco smoke detector is beyond easy to install. Comes with mounting hardware appropriate for both wood and sheetrock surfaces. I'll have to burns some stuff under to get a sense of it's reaction time, but these things are pretty much install them and forget; even more so now that they have to have a sealed internal battery. I added this to my garage since that was the only uncovered space in the house. Seems fool proof.

Alarmed

Acquired this product after having to replace the batteries in my pre-existing fire alarms every other month or so. This product has a 10 year life battery life, is about a 1/4 of the size of standard fire alarms. It comes with all the hardware needed for the install. All you need is a drill, screw driver and you can install this product with ease. This product is made of quality materials. It's efficient, and easy to use. I would highly recommend this for a replacement of your old fire alarms.

First Alert MICRO Smoke Alarm is so easy to install right out of the box. They include a couple screws and drywall anchors in the package. Small But Loud

I am thrilled with this micro smoke detector, upfront. I got it from via Lowe’s loop, but I am purchasing a lot of more of these. I have stuck this one in the bathroom because my son almost had a dryer fire at his house and my washer and dryer in my bathroom. It has given me the peace of mind I needed to go to sleep at night. Small Smoke Alarm- Easy Installation!

We haven't had to use this smoke alarm (thankfully!); however, I can tell you that from my research this seems to be a great option for small spaces. We installed this in our small office right off the kitchen area. It was a simple install and required no batteries and a small screwdriver. I'm impressed at the 10 year battery life considering how small the product is!

First Alert Photoelectric Smoke Detector

Love this! There is nothing decorative about a smoke detector, but this one is very small and even cute. One thing I really like is the 10 year battery. I have it mounted high on the wall where I would need to use an extension ladder every time I would need to change the battery. Small compacted but mighty Smoke Alarm

Recieved my Micro Smoke Alarm and was surprised at the size of it. Very small in size and easy to hind away with out standing out like a sore thumb. Very easy to install, simply add to the mounting bracket. Came with a 10 year battery. Wow that's impressive by it's self. At my age 87 was able to install and test and had no issues hearing the alarm. Very happy with this product.

Why aren't they all this small?

The First Alert Micro Smoke Alarm with a 10-year battery life is so small that it blends right in. I initially used this in my basement but I quickly realized this would be perfect for our boat cabin area so I will be using this there instead. Small but loud - Good little Alarm

So, First Alert has these "micro" or "slim profile" smoke alarms. They're basically smaller and less clunky-looking than the old-school ones. Lots of them come with a battery that's supposed to last 10 years (no more annoying midnight chirps, hopefully!) and use a photoelectric sensor.
