Small and compact

It's very Compact and small. It's hardly noticeable. It doesn't stand out like normal smoke detectors wood on the wall. It's very discreet and minimal.

Never received this product

I really cant review this product as I have not received it yet even though it says that i have received it. I asked everyone in my family if they got this package but nobody has.

Micro Smoke Alarm

I was sold on the ten year battery life and small profile of this smoke detector. The manufacturer recommends a drill for installation but I did not need the anchors that are included with my plaster walls and I was able to lightly tap the screws with a hammer and use a phillips head screwdriver to install in a matter of minutes. Small yet mighty!

Well this little guy packs a punch. When I tested it, it was so loud I can't imagine anyone not hearing it. Easy install & 10 year battery makes me feel safe..

The smallest unit with a LOUD alert tone.

I really like the compact size of this smoke detector. At just a little under 2 1/2" wide, it's the smallest unit I've ever seen. It's a whole lot smaller than the old fashioned ones, yet every bit as loud. Very loud! The thing I like the most is the 10 year battery. This First Alert 10 year micro smoke detector is very small and compact, but it works just like or better than the full size ones. I really like the fact that you do not have to remember to replace the batteries every year. By the time 10 years is up, it is time to replace the unit. Very small and unimpressed

Surprised how small this smoke alarm was when I received it. I have prewired smoke alarms everywhere but my 2 car garage. So, that’s where I installed it. It was easy to instal. I tested it and it beeped once as required. I put it about 18” from my home entrance door so it could be heard. It isn’t very loud. have a 12’ ceiling. I first tried to set it off with kitchen matches only 6” below it. I tried 3 matches. Nothing! I then grabbed a few dry maple twigs and set all 3 on fire together. I did...

Simple, quiet, easy

Ok so here is the bottom line, this is a great smoke alarm. Its not a big and bulky eyesore, or hard to install. Base plate check, hardware check and the alarm check. If you go with the traditional style you buy the alarm and batteries, and more batteries, and more batteries. Add that and the time of finding which alarm is chirping, grabbing the ladder and a few choice words to compleate the annual ritual. Seems great!

This little thing seems to be ready to do it's job. Installed no problem and I'm looking forward to the long life. I've had smoke detectors go out over the years, so hopefully the longevity is as advertised. I'll follow up in 10 years - ha!

Great mini smoke detector

The First Alarm Micro Smoke Detector is great. It's small size makes it unobtrusive wherever it is installed. A mounting braket is included making the attaching easy. It does not create nuisance alarms when there is no problem and it's warning sound is loud enough to be heard but not blasting. It is not hard wired but uses a built in battery that is to last 10 years.

Exactly what I needed

Couldn’t be any simpler. Went up easy as can be. Tiny footprint. No issues at all. If you need a smoke detector and just want the simplest easiest install this is it. Anothe rplus is not having to worry about finding a 9V battery. Pull the tab and you are good to go.

A powerful, effective smoke detector that is tiny!

Amazing smoke alarm. I was surprised at its size. Unlike other smoke alarms, it is tiny! Easy to install and it so small you really don’t see it! I like the fact that is works so long without needing a battery change. Having to change the batteries in my old smoke detector was always a pain.

Super Small!

Great little and I mean little smoke detector! It fits in the palm of your hand. I great change from the standard ones out on the market. you hardly even notice it is there. I have had it installed near the kitchen and haven't experienced any false alarms. Will assume it will work when needed.

Compact smoke alarm functions well

This little 3" smoke alarm is compact but functional. We put it on our garage ceiling as the furnace is located in the garage. It blends in well but works as intended.

User-friendly smoke detector

Nifty Little Smoke Alarm

Micro is an accurate description. This small smoke detector was simple to install and it started working right away with its little light. The ten-year battery will be wonderful—no more climbing up every year to replace batteries!

No battery needed, easy install!

I replaced a bigger, older model smoke detector i had. My old one regularly would go off when someone was cooking at the stove. This model was easy to install and much let noticeable on the ceiling. It hasn't gone off when someone is cooking which is a plus. It was easy to install. Bi used one of the old model's screw holes and drilled a new hole for this smaller unit. Super easy to install with a screwdriver. And no battery for 10 years. That's a big win for me!

Smallest Smoke Detector One Could Imagine.

I used this micro smoke alarm to replace a First Alert alarm that must have been ten years old. In spite of that it was still functioning. This micro alarm has added functions in addition to being tiny. As a result of it being so tiny I need to spackle the holes where the previous smoke detector was installed. I'm sure this micro smoke detector will last as long as my previous one as all First Alert products are quality.
