Easy to use

Bought this a few weeks ago. Light weight compared to other vacuums and like that it is cordless.

Awesome as always

I purchased a different Dyson stick vacuum years ago and with constant use it finally died. I have been so impressed with the customer service and quality of the vacuum I was happy to purchase a new one. It has been fantastic and working even better and easier than the last one with easier dumping of the canister and great suction. Thanks again Dyson for the 5th or 6th time!

The trigger is awful.

There are som great things about the v8. Notably improved performance and longer run time. However the trigger is an issue for me. During 20 minutes of vacuuming my finger slips off of it at least 12 times. First world problems. However, I think the price you pay for a Dyson warrants a better trigger. The one on the v7 was awesome I never had this problem. I keep hoping there is a recall or something and they fix this issue.

Great vacuum but…

Great vacuum! Sucks up everything, lightweight and durable. One major flaw is the power trigger…wish it had a hold switch to keep it on without having to squeeze it so hard.

LOVE!!!

I never knew I could love a vacuum so much! It's absolutely amazing. I can't get over how well it works and in only one pass. I don't have to keep going back and forth over the same area. My rugs and sofas have never looked better. I also vacuumed my cat trees and they literally look brand new again! I couldn't recommend this vacuum more highly!

Very good until it needs service

We've had this for a few years and it's done very well, but when we needed a new battery, it took an hour to diagnose the problem, and the greater than 2 weeks to get it. Dyson uses a primitive tracking system, so one can't even find out when it's coming. Also the need to wash the conical filter and wait 2 days for it to dry is a real poor system design.

This vacuum does it all and I love all the attachments. It really is powerful and does all I need it to do.

I bought this a month ago. And it deep cleaned my apartment. Also light weight.

Very disappointing

I bought this sweeper to replace my old V6, which I loved. The V8 has much less power and the parts look much cheaper than the previous model. By the way, the old one is still working great for my daughter.

Frustrating - battery life and other issues

two stars instead of one as there are some good features... 1. strong suction 2. good ergonomics - I like the handle 3. Easy to maneuver Now for the bad... 1. Battery life is substandard. 15 minutes at best before needing recharge 2. Easily clogs which bogs down performance dramatically and makes the engine run erratically 3. Here is the real biggie...the dirt compartment comes open all the time. So, vacuuming along and then look down and realize the work has been wasted as the dirt h...

so lightweight

I am so happy to have my Dyson V8 Animal. It makes vacuuming so easy, no longer a chore to dread. I'm able to get under the couch and bed easily. I need to vacuum everyday and the Dyson V8 has made it doable.

great product

We bought this cordless vacuum for quick clean ups to use in addition to our full size corded Dyson. I am amazed at the power of this vacuum. Like all Dyson vacuums, it's easy to clean and snap back together. I've not used it for more than 10-15 minutes yet, but so far, the battery has lasted while I vacuumed. I also love the way this attaches to the wall. So easy to remove from the charger, use, and place back in the charger.

not great long term

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] it was good for the first few months we owned it, of course it’s stated in the description the battery is only meant to hold up about forty minutes anyway and max suction makes that time much less. After owning it for over a year, I would say it’s not a great product. I’ve owned other Dyson vacuums which hold up a lot better, but after only a short time this vacuum is taking over 3 hours to get a full charge which lasts less than fifteen minu...

Worst battery life, Would not buy again!!!

I had this vacuum for 4 years and hated it for 4 years!!! On normal speed and with clean filters, this vacuum battery has NEVER lasted long enough to complete one room. Worst buy in a long time.

Another great Dyson product!

The only thing our old corded Dyson Animal was not up to was Hurricane Ida destroying the house it was in. But now I’m just thrilled with this new cordless Dyson! Light but powerful, and everything fits and clicks in and out with precision. Easy to use, charge, and empty. I’m sure we’ll enjoy this one for many many years to come.

I love my Dyson, I wish it lasted longer.

I bought this about 6 years ago, about a month ago my motorized head became loose and is making a very loud sound. So in need of a new one. I was just going to replace the the motorhead but figured with it being 6 years old I would spend more in replacement parts that just buying a new one. Just not sure of which one to get. Overall, I recommend this to everyone I talk to about vacuums.

Good vaccum only for a short period of time

Liked vacuum when first purchased and even bought another for second home. Within 6 months of occasional use, started having issues with both. I have finally stopped buying replacement parts to keep these operational. Extremely disapointed with quality for the price
