Acquired this product a few weeks ago, and I am thoroughly impressed, despite identifying a few minor flaws that do not detract from its overall quality. Firstly, there is a space within the attachments and other components that connect to the unit, which accumulates dust. This issue should be addressed. Nice

This generation is quiet, which I can appreciate!! However the bin must be emptied after each room. My last one could vacuum 2-3 rooms without having to empty. I would love to see magnetic attachments since the buttons were what broke with my last vacuum.

Dyson gen 5

I bought the Dyson gen5 a few weeks ago. Absolutely love it. The green light ensures you are not missing any stray pet hairs. The suction is amazing. It is lite weight enough that my 6, 8 and 10 year old can use it without difficulty. The attachments are so easy to use. No fumbling to add for the small crevice just remove the vacuum head with a click of a button. My 8 year old said its too noisy when its on the highest setting. The only downside is the battery life. I wish it could last longer....

I love the convinence of the wand/brush inside for cleaning the couch , and I never realized all that accumalates all the floors, that light is awesome.

I think it really too new to actually review, I think 6 months of use would give a better appraisal

Good points and a few detractors

Mixed feelings at this point. Vacuums the floor well enough, and better than my prior machine, so that is a positive. The downside is that for an expensive product, some things seem flimsy, and the attachments basically don’t fit on the wall bracket. You mean I have to purchase an extra bit of kit so I don’t have to find alternate space for attachments, that I then have to dig out of wherever I put them. As to the flimsy bit. Pricy machine with cheesy plastic wheels? Metal mesh screen in bin...

Absolutely fantastic machine!

Holy cow this is quite an upgrade from the V15, which I thought would be a heavy lift, but they did it again. Super powerful and I love the new design with the attachments built into the main wand. Great idea! It's a bit heavier than the previous model, but that doesn't bother me. I also like how there's no more trigger that you need to constantly press while vacuuming, which I got used to, but these controls are better. Worth it - 5⭐

Every bit as good as I had heard. The suction is amazing. I really can't believe it is battery powered. The Dyson goes toe to toe with plug in vacuums. I was also impressed with how quiet this vacuum is. The hard floor attachment is actually very good at picking everything up and the laser light in which I originally thought was kind of gimmicky is actually very helpful if not almost fun. Very powerful vacuum

I really like this it appears to have as good suction as our old plug-in vacuum. Works very well and both floor type attachments are great.

We love the illuminated vacuum head that shows how effective the vacuum is at cleaning hard surfaces.

Works well but suction out of control

Long time user of Dyson products. I’ve always loved them. But The suction on this one is just too much. It renders it practically useless for my rugs and carpet. The suction force is so strong that the heads stop spinning. It’s fantastic for hardwoods, but even the carpet attachment doesn’t work well. It might be time to put an actual motor on the heads

Amazing vacuum

I bought this recently and immediately started using it. I cannot believe what I thought was clean before - this vacuum is picking up floor dust and dirt particles that I now know has never been picked up by my previous vacuum.

Not usable for rugs/thin carpets

Bought this vacuum a month ago, and every time the vacuum is used on a carpet, the vacuum shuts off. Using any attachment.

I love this Dyson. So smooth running, quiet and lightweight. My previous corded Dyson I had for 25 years and never had a problem with it until now.
