Would RecommendSig if isn’t improvement over our V10. Hopefully the case doesn’t crack and the battery doesn’t develop a dead cell like our V10 did. The green light on the hard floor head makes it fun to vacuum again.

Great features, but some key downfalls
Would RecommendConvenient package with great suction and good user experience during use with the extension. Noise leaves are low! Battery seems to last through all of our tasks. The wall mount, on the other hand, is very poorly designed as you can’t store the included attachments at the same time, and it’s very rickety on the wall after installation even though the wall plate is very tightly mounted.

Works well, a bit heavier, but easier to hold.
Would RecommendI bought this about a month ago, have used it for spot area cleaning multiple times, and entire first floor of house twice. It performs very well, is noticeably heavier than my previous gen V15 detect, but not having to hold the trigger does improve the ergonomics. My only issue is a strange noise the vacuum head makes, like it is stopping, when pulling the vacuum toward me on anything other than a solid wood surface (despite adjusting height settings).

Handy but Powerful
Would RecommendThis is a handy but powerful vacuum. It is amazing how well the detect light shows dirt on floor. I was also surprised by how much dirt this vacuum pulls out of the carpet! I love the display that shows what it is picking up. It is also great for cleaning the mattress on laundry day.

I love my new gen 5 detect. It is very powerful and does a great job. Only things I wish were different are 1. It doesn't have a trigger on off button and 2. It is a little heavier than I expected 3. The mounting bracket will not hold all the attachments without buy a separate piece.

My First Dyson Vacuum
Would RecommendI brought my Dyson Gen5detect early this month. I’ve used it twice. The first time was just to see how the suction was and it was great. It is on the heavy side and I do wish we didn’t have to go back and forth emptying the bin just to get the bin debris free. While doing that the particles are flying around. Originally I bought the V15 and Gen5Detect as I didn't know which one I wanted. After trying both, for me it was an easy decision. The Gen5Detect you do not have to hold the trigger to vaccumn which is really nice. They all should have that feature. I did not even notice with weight difference in the two machines.
