Works better than expected, drill bits like new, sharpened 350 drill bits in the first 4 days. After thoroughly reading the instructions using it is easy & a little boring until you try a newly sharpened bit & you have just saved/made money by just sharpening the bit. Sharpened the equivalent cost bits to justify purchasing the drill doctor by the second night at about 2 hours per night. The first Drill Doctor was purchased in 1998. It still works as it did on the first start up. I bought the new one as it does have a few new grinding angles on it. The only thing I find a bit unhandy is having to turn the device around every time I set a drill bit and then turn the device to insert the drill to sharpen it. Did not have to do this with the old one. I will save the old one as I have the 3/4 bit grinder with the old device and to purchase and pay shipping ($10.00) on the 3/4 h...

Rejuvenated multiple bits

It takes a little getting used to but once I had it figured out, I was able to bring many bits back to life. I haven't sharpened or created any split-point bits but that is my next step.

Great tool

I had several bits that were in serious need of sharpening. I brought this sharpener home and in about 5 minutes is was sharpening by bits and it worked great. Easy to follow instructions and easy to use. I wish I had purchased one sooner. They also make a tool sharpener and I am going back to take a look at one of the too. If you need to sharpen your bits, buy this machine.

Great investment

Having purchased and attempted several bit sharpeners in the past and ultimately being let down, this simply was not the case with this sharpener. Follow the directions and your bits will be reusable for several times longer.

Have had one for at least 13 to 14 years

Once you figure out how to preset the bits into the correct housing there's no way that you can't sharpen the bits to perfection

Nice Addition

I just set up & ran for first time . I had trouble at first getting result because I did not set chuck in Chuck Holder correctly. Once I corrected that I sharpened 50 bits in small amount of time . Very pleased . Should of bought one years ago. Have more bits to do latter

Works better than expected!

I’m a diesel mechanic and purchased this knowing it would be used frequently in an attempt to save money on drill bits. it has worked better than expected in every way, and I have now sharpened dozens of drill bits only a few weeks after having it. It has more than paid for itself and most of the guys in my shop would agree that it is one of the best tools I have purchased (I’ve sharpened drill bits for almost everyone at this point). Must buy for metal workers

If you use metal cutting bits you probably burn through them like butter despite buying premium, using varying speed ratios and lubricant. I kept all of my old bits and was able to sharpen them to razor sharp points and then add a split point so they wouldn’t slip. Honestly, I already saved my money I purchased on this u it from not having to buy new drill bits. It’s phenomenal.
