Everything advertised was true. Other reviews warned if your fireplace was black the plexiglass would show. Not always true. The flame looks so real. I did buy a crackling machine to make it sound real. Just love it.

Amazing addition to our family room

We used to burn wood for heat, and we were so done with that. Our fireplace is a focal point. We wanted a realistic alternative. We're very impressed, and happy with our purchase and the price.

I have this in my upstairs bedroom so I no longer have to carry wood upstairs to have a fire or clean out ashes but I have a very realistic view of a fire complete with heat!

Exactly what I was looking for…easy ambience

We have this in our master bedroom. Love the added ambiance and the remote is so convenient. Love that I can get some additional heat in the room if desired. I wasn't getting enough use out of our wood burning fireplace in the bedroom, and felt this was much safer as well in case we fell asleep. My husband assembled quickly and easily and voila! We have a flickering realistic ( reasonably) fire. We added a bronze screen which looks great against our brick.

This Baby Lit Our Fire!

This is the perfect solution to our patio fireplace (which is actually a propane unit). It's no secret in Phoenix, Arizona one does not get maximum use out of fireplaces...everything is on fire most of the year! Now, at a click of a button we can enjoy a cozy lit fireplace while enjoying our patio at sunset....no sweat! Thank You

Overpriced

This product would probably do well in a small fireplace but not a larger one like I have. It is also very costly in that the heater does not put out enough heat to justify the cost.

I love it

I have been absolutely thrilled with it. I use it almost everyday just for the visual of a fire and then in the evenings for a little more warmth in the room. I m aging and a real fire is out of the question anymore

I love this - all I hoped for and more!

We replaced our wood burning fireplace with this. I was tired of the smoke damage and the work involved with procuring the wood and all the cleanup. We can hit the remote and have a beautiful fire. It looks realistic - most of our friends think it's a gas log. Easy set up, too. Win-win. I think my neighbor is getting one too!

Great peace of mind and flexibility

We really liked this model. It fits perfectly in our former wood/gas burning fireplace, it's looks very realistic compared to other electric logs in the market (seriously I looked at 7 other similar branded logs). The plastic insert is a bit more reflective perhaps because of our room lighting layout but I got used to it after a day. I would absolutely not recommend

VERY FAKE FLAME. The product looks like a strobe-light! As you sit in a chair, your eyes are focused on these circular beams of white light that in no way resemble a flame. I had to add some small logs to adequately shield my eyes from the strobe effect, and it is slightly better. In no way would I purchase this item again. It is highly overpriced as well. I had a duraflame, and comparatively, that is the much wiser purchase.

Just what I was looking for

We use this in the fireplace in the family room. Now that we are getting older, it is not so much fun to bring in the wood to build the fire and then to clean up the ashes. This insert that we bought is wonderful, looks like we have a real fire there and with the heater it is just like a real fire without the work. It was easy to set up. The remote is not the greatest but there is an on/off switch attached to the unit which is fairly easy to use.

We have a Country Flame fireplace funace. It has a built in metal wood holder, I was concerned that it would not fit. The logs fit great. I added small black lava rocks. It looks so awesome. I'm from a family of brick masons, I can tell you this thing looks real. I'm afraid I will wear it out. I use it for looks, not for heat.

We love this electric fireplace log set. It was as described. Looks like real logs and puts out nice heat. I love the different flame colors and heat setting if you want high or low. Also you can make the backdrop different light settings.
