It is a great product for my ventless fireplace box. Main issue has been the plastic smell coming off of it for weeks. It is finally starting to dissipate. So therefore now I think I can keep it.

We love the realistic look
We love the realistic look of our electric fireplace. There is no maintenance needed, no ash anymore. In addition, I insulated the space above the electric fireplace, to block the cold winter air from coming down the flu into the room. It feels warmer just with the blocked out cold air, and with the heater on the electric fireplace, it adds additional warmth when needed.

Good Service, good product.
As advertised. Worked great 1st time. Product remote a little dodgy as you have to be right up close to the fireplace for it to work correctly but that is not the sellers fault. Phone call to the store before purchase gave us all of the correct information.

New Dimplex better than old!
Upgraded our Dimplex electric logs to a unit that looks more like gas logs - it is just logs on a rack, with an ember mat (that glows and pulses) below. The previous was more of a firebox so you could not see the bricks of the actual fire box. The new remote can control the colors of the flames (within reason) and can have the heating part on, off or high. Great that we can have the ambience of a fire in warm months without the heat!

Don't Buy
I wanted to like this product, but it's a cheap piece of junk. Mine didn't work. I turned it on and it immediately went off. I tried again. Again, it turned off. It never went off again. Returning it tomorrow for a refund.
