I really like it I just wish the Mirage panel was higher so that you couldn't see the edge of it. I'm sure it would then be more realistic if you weren't aware of the panel. If I could get a taller square panel it would be perfect.

I live in Florida so this was mainly for looks and it's perfect! It doesn't put out as much heat as I thought it would, but that is not the reason I bought it so I would still buy it again.

I WAS SO FED UP WITH THE DIRT IN BURNING THAT I EVENTUALLY PUT IN A GAS LOG IN THE FIREPLACE. THAT WAS O K BUT EVERY TIME WE WOULD USE IT IT WOULD TAKE FOREVER TO GET IT LIT. NOW WITH THE NEW ELECTRIC LOG IT WAS SO EASY TO PUT TOGETHER AND JUST A PUSH OF THE BUTTONS AND IT WORKS IMMEDIATELY. WHAT A RELIEF

I have had my fireplace insert for about 4 months now and love it. It's been years since I have had a real fire due to the mess, plus I live in Florida and do not need a real one very often. I love the ambiance and calming effect of a flickering fire and now I have that. Everyone that comes into my home assumes it's the real thing. It's very realistic and beautiful. I took it out of the box and set it up in about 5 minutes. It's instant gratification! It looks lovely, fits in my fireplace perfectly and I have no nasty ash to clean up. Even better, I can use it any time - no matter what the temperature is outside. It's safe, clean and looks so real. It really is amazing!!

I love this fireplace. It was simple to set up. And it is gorgeous. I wanted something that would looks authentic and it does. I did not buy it for the heat it gives off. My fireplace was a dark whole I was not using. I do not like the mess a wood fireplace makes. This fits right in with my fireplace and is beautiful. It is worth the money.

REAL LOOKING WARM FIRE
WE SET THE UNIT INTO A CORNER FIREPLACE THAT HAD A METAL LINER, THAT WAS PREVIOUSLY USED. BUT WE HAVE A OPEN DOORWAY INTO THE FOLYER AND A LONG ROOM OPEN INTO THE KITCHEN, THEREFORE, THE HEAT CONTAINED IS MIMINAL AND SHOULD BE A LARGER UNIT. I WISH THAT YOUR EXPLAINATION WOULD HAVE NOTED THAT OPEN DOORS COULD EFFECT HEAT RETAINED. BUT I DID NOT FIND A UNIT LIKE THIS ONE IN A BIGGER SIZE.

Great Fireplace replacement.
The only ""con"" thing is that the unit does not put out enough heat. We have a small family room and thought this unit would heat it, it doesn't. But it is a great replacement for our vent free gas fireplace that smelled and got too hot.
