I used this on about 100 shots to secure furring strips to concrete. Each shot would take several hammer blows before firing. A few times the nailer fell apart. After 100 shots the drive pin inside broke in half and is now unusable. I will return and purchase another brand. I wish I had read these reviews before my purchase, this nailer is garbage.

I was having trouble getting this to work. then I slammed a hammer down super hard with a full arm swing and it finally fired. There's no way it is safe to swing a hammer like that, I should just be driving the nail in through the wood and concrete with my own arms force. When I tried the second nail 10 gigantic arm swings later with a hammer and it still wouldn't fire. Worked for 3 nails

Worked for 3 nails, after a few hits each. Couldn’t get any more nails to fire, tried a bunch of different cartridges and tried using a 3lb hammer, still no luck.

wouldnt work

Followed all instructions, it wouldnt fire when hit the button. Tried several different times, still couldnt get to work. Havent had time to research further yet

After reading all the reviews uoh would think this think is nothing more than a huge pile of junk. However I decided to buy it and I have to say it works perfectly! One strike of the hammer and the cartridge discharges perfectly. I’ve used it in my basement at least 50 times and it works every time. Not sure if I’m just lucky and got the one good product or if people aren’t using it correctly!

Even DeWalt says its junk

I wasted my most the day trying to get this to work. I read and followed instructions. I called DeWalt for assistance. I was transferred to an engineer. He told me " you get what you pay for." He attempted to talk me into an expensive model. I only need it for a small project. I went with a competitor's brand that works like a charm. I'm here to say this item is junk. DeWalt's quality of equipment in general is sadly going downhill.

Grrr. Wasted an hour that I didn't have trying to get this thing to fire. Now another hour wasted to return it.

worked twice

I took the first one back because it only fired twice and got a second one that did not work at all. I bought another name brand tool and it works every time. Dewalt has some real issues with this tool.

It worked for six nails then the firing pin stopped working.

hard to shot, plastic material brake to easy ,i do not recommend i try to return for the warranty is 3 years but i lose the receive

The Worst Tool I've Ever Owned ! ! !

LOWES SHOULD STOP SELLING THIS, AND DEWALT SHOULD DISCONTINUE MAKING IT UNTIL THEY CAN FIX IT! I bought this and unfortunately did not get around to using it for over a year, so it's out of warranty. It simply didn't work right out of the package. I did manage to drive a few nails, but it took on average over a dozen blows with several different hammers - from 16oz. to a 3lb. WASTED TRIP TO THE STORE

I vigorously disagree with the buyer who suggested taping a nickel to it when you thrown it out the door. Do not waste good cash like that. Just throw it out. What was Dewalt thinking? This is garbage.

Doesn't work, taking it back today waste of time and money. Never bought a DeWalt brand that is so horrible. Do yourself a favor don't buy this junk.

I bought this on a whim and wished I had done research ahead of time. It never worked. Will be returning.

Garbage would be insulted by this tool

Should have read the reviews. Bought this because I didn’t want to spend big $ for nailing a couple of PT 2x4’s. Zero successful shots. Pressed it down the extra 1/4”. Hit it with 16 oz hammer. Smashed it with blunt side of 24 oz hatchet. Nothing! Going to pay the $$$ for one that works. Def won’t be a Dewalt though.

Use it Correctly

Bought this tool, because I only needed to shoot a few nails. I read the reviews before I purchased it. Instructions were not good, but the tool operates perfectly. The problem that everyone's having is that there's about 1/4 inch of travel on the unit to make it flush with the plate. If you don't push it down this extra quarter inch, the firing pin will not connect the cartridge. I don't know what people were talking about these units not having a firing pin. It's not a 22 rifle. Brand new, fired 1 shot, then stopped

Bought it, took it home, it fired once, then nothing. Instructions say to replace firing pin but I can't find any instructions for replacement or disassembly.

Works as advertised

I bought this to attach pressure treated seal plates concrete slab. It took a few times to get the hang of it, but after we did it worked like a charm

Junk and Dewalt knows it

I’m familiar with Ramsets. I bought this because I like and trust Dewalt tools. What a mistake. Garbage tool. Do not buy
