This includes you Dewalt. Shame on you for such a poor product. I got FIVE nails set before the pin holding the hammer blow cap sheared and came apart. I've used powder actuated tools before, but not the Dewalt brand. I got this yesterday because I was at the store and needed one and it was all they had. Price was good, but then I guess I got what I paid for. I did not expect any problems with a simple driver therefore I did not check reviews.

RAMROD BROKE!

Bought it and it broke on the first job. The rod that drives the pin shattered after 20 shots? Not a good product! Didnt like to eject the spent loads...

Wouldn't fire

Made a mistake, trusted Dewalt brand and didn't read reviews. I needed a simple tool to finish my basement. Small job, so I figured a less expensive tool that will be rarely used after this project would be fine. Brought it home, loaded it and beat it with a hammer. Could not get the thing to fire. I looked at the load afterwards and there are no marks suggesting that a firing pin is striking it. I got online to try to figure out if I was doing something wrong. 8 good shots the nothing

Bought this in a hurry without researching first and got burnt... tool worked well for the first 8 shots then quit firing

Does not work

I never could get this thing to fire. I lost my receipt and its now just wasted money.

Disappointed

This one did’nt work well for me. It wold’nt fire everytime unless you hit it perfect. Also inconsistant with the depth each time. I returned it and got the next model up with the trigger for $20 more and it works great

There seems to be a firing pin problem with this item. Bought one, firing pin wouldn’t come down. Returned it, got another one that had the same problem. Took it back and went to Home Depot and bought a Ram Set one. Worked every time. Don’t waste your time, just go buy a Ram Set in the first place!

Not Dewalt Quality

I had to beat on this with a hammer and sometimes it would fire. And when it did fire it never drove the nail all the way into the cellar concrete floor. I wish I read these reviews before I bought it. This is a real piece of junk!

I too should have read the reviews!

My old Remington finally died and I'm on a job, needing to finish the framing. I ran to Lowes for other things and grabbed this tool to help me finish. I loaded it up, hit it about 4 times, and it's jammed with a live load still in it. Unfortunately for me, Lowes is the only act in town and this is the only brand they carry. I'm going to have to head over the mountains to another store for a better tool.

Does not work

Wasted 30 min trying to get it to work but it won't fire. I used DeWalt charges and nails. I even called customer sercice and they said I was doing everything correctly before transfering me over to a voicemail. Returned it and bought one at HD instead for the same price which works perfectly.

Very Disappointing!

Usually you can't go wrong with the Dewalt brand. However, this product they need to scrap. Never worked right out of the package. I believe defective or no firing pin. Read reviews, mine was an impulse buy.

Never worked. Hope they'll take it back

Bought this to do some framing in the basement. I had never used it before, but a friend who was helping was familiar with it. Instructions seemed fairly straight forward, but neither one of us could get it to work. Whacked it with the hammer 5, 6, 7 times...nothing fired. Like another review I (now) read, it seems the firing pin either retracted permanently, or ... (?) I ended up renting a Remington trigger-type, and that was slick and easy.

Dewalt P1000

I should have read the reviews before purchasing. I will take it back. I fired once after seveeal blows. then I could not get it to fire again. I tried numerous charges but none worked. Shocked that Dewalt would not take these reviews seriously and would risk damaging their good name for quality. Fix it or get it off the market.

Does it's job but difficult to get to fire.

My experience before this is with an old version with no safety. This one seems to have a safety feature where it won't fire unless it's held down hard when struck. Of course this pushes the washer off the end of the nail when you do so. I also had issues getting it to fire when striking it. I was using DeWalt blanks and nails. I miss the old simple design and wish it was still sold.

Better off with a hammer

Purchased this without reading reviews...oops! Needed it to start finishing our basement, the price was right and all my power tools are DeWalt, figured...perfect, more black and yellow in my home. Turned out to be more like black and blue! To fire three nails I had to wack it with a variety of hammers a total of 27 times, do the math. Does not fire, cant rate a Zero

Regret not having read reviews before purchasing. New out of the package, does not fire. As though there is no firing pin. Doesn't leave a mark on the shell. Returning for a refund. The Chinese factory that assembled the item included directions for a Ramset tool. The toll free number on the instructions is 1-800-ITW-BRANDS (800489-2726)

Does not work. DO NOT BUY

This tool simply does not work. I've been bashing the top of it with my hammer for the last half hour, then decided to go online and see what I might be missing. Seems that what I missed was other reviews that would have told me that this tool simply does not work.

JUNK

Bought the first one. Went to use it loaded it correctly, hiy it with hammer nothing tried several different rounds and a bihger hammer still nothing. Returned it figuring i just got a bad one. Got a replacement and same thing. I would take my name off this junk if i was dewalt.
