Would Not RecommendI haven't even gone through 50 pins yet and two of these have broke on me. half the time it doesn't fire either. if you plan on using this a lot I would get something else
Bad firing pin
Would Not RecommendAlong with many of others I had trouble with the firing pin. It took many hits and sometimes the .22 shell would just not go off. They are rimfire shells so they need to be struck on the rim which the tool doesn't out of the box. I took it apart and shaved down the firing pin so that it just struck on one part of the rim of the shell and works %100 better if anyone is interested in making the tool work as it should without returning it that will do it.
Buy Ramset
Would Not RecommendI bought this to replace a Ramset, I was disappointed in the performance.
DO NOT BUY!!!!! ZERO STARS NOT 1 STAR!!!!
Would Not RecommendI am mad at myself for NOT reading reviews,....I usually ALWAYS do, but was in the store and on cel phone is usually more taxing to do AND because it is DeWalt!! I trusted them but boy did they fail on this! HUGE WASTE OF MY TIME, THE STORE's TIME and the Store profit!!! Furious that DeWalt makes such a piece of junk and FURIOUS that LOWES sells piece of junk!!!!!! SHAME ON ALL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Dont waste your money!
Would Not Recommendbought this a while back and it must have been a return still had a nail jammed in the end it worked 1 time then not anymore so i returned it. For about 2 dollars more go to HD and buy a ramset branded one I did it works and keeps working no problems .
It works fine
Would RecommendAirbnbstar's review (May 28, 2020) is correct. It worked fine for me then stopped working. I thought I was having the same problem everyone else is reporting. I went back and tried his advice -- push the nose all the way in. I still had to hit it a few times in some cases for it to fire but, whatever, it's a $25 tool.
fire 1 out of 20 times
Would Not RecommendThis tool is junk. I know how to use a ramset and this thing definitely is trash. It fires 1 out of 20 times and frankly it's dangerous. After about 5 nails driven, the tensioner on the side even shot off after firing. Do not buy this tool.
Don't waste time or money on this.
Would Not RecommendI'm taking this back and going to get a Hilti. Never fired once no matter what we did. It was a replacement for one that lasted years, so don't say we don't know how to use it. When a 6'4" linebacker can't hit it hard enough to fire there is something wrong. Emailed customer service and got no reply.
this tool is garbage
Would Not RecommendUsed less than 10 times and it is broken. Top part you hit with hamer came off. Can’t put it back together. Lousy design. Don’t waste your money.
Needs to be pulled from store
Would Not RecommendI have used these for over 20 years and this is a the worst one by far. It never fired and even ripped the back of the shot off one cartridge. I made sure the horizontal line was in the correct spot with proper pressure to engage it. It would just round in the tops of the shot but never fire. Wish I would have read the reviews and save the gas having to take it back.
nothing wrong with this tool
Would RecommendI almost didn't buy this tool but figured if it doesn't work I'll return it can't beat the price if you get this tool your getting it because if price you might have to use a little effort to get it to fire but no problems. if your having problems you might need to get a bug boy to do it for you. you hold the handle you press it down hard with constant pressure down then you grab your hammer then you give it a hard wack if it doesn't fire hit it again if not again then again at most I had to wac...
Didn't Work And Then It Did
Would Not RecommendI've now put close to 100 rounds through this thing and it's working like a charm. For the first 15-20 it was incredibly frustrating. It would take 5-10 strikes to get it to fire and that was with me being sure to keep the tip depressed the entire time. Apparently it got broken in because all-of-a-sudden it started working perfectly. For the last 70-80 pins it usually fires on the first strike and sometimes on the second. I'm not doing anything different and I have no idea what about it needed t...
Trash
Would Not RecommendOnly fired 1 shot after I hit it about 40 times. Could not get it to fire again.
same as others, BAD
Would Not RecommendAgain, another voice here to say i wish i had read the reviews but didnt think about it because I was buying a DeWalt product. Taught me good there, cant trust the name anymore clearly. Stanley Black and Decker, fix your DeWalt problems. And for all you who didnt already know, yes Stanley/Black and Decker own dewalt and original craftsman branding as well. Too many product lines and not enough quality assurance apparently. For someone like me on a tight budget with unexpected heavy duty repairs ...
