Would Not RecommendHard to believe Dewalt could mess up a tool so badly but somehow they managed to. In short, the firing pin does not strike the primer no matter how much you hit the striker (top). Save yourself time and gas on this one and buy the compilation.

Would Not RecommendDidn't even get one nail into concrete with the garbage tool. Very disappointing most of my tools are dewalt and they are tough as nails. Apparently not the one that shoots nails into concrete. Don't waste your money. Wish I could put negative stars.
Junk- Should have trusted the reviews
Would Not RecommendLearned my lesson, Ignored most of the reviews about how bad this thing was and took a chance based on the few good reviews. The Bad reviews are 100% correct. Tried a dozen times and never once could get it to fire. Went to HD and bought a different brand which worked wonderful.

Would Not RecommendAfter I learned to sit up and hit it squarely I managed to fire it twice on the first hit, but it would never fire again. Very disappointing as the tool appears to be very well made and can be easily disassembled.

Would RecommendIt worked okayish out the box I guess but after about 30 rounds total (separate jobs) the steel rod doohicky splintered apart sending sharp fragments flying. It is a throw away tool. Build the cost into your job and definitely wear safety gear.

Would Not RecommendHaving used a dewalt powder actuated gun before, I thought this version would be good for the small projects that I would use it for. I was wrong. This tool does not work as advertised. Couldn’t sink first 3 nails and then stopped working altogether. I returned it the same day I bought it.

Why does Lowe’s sell this useless item?
Would Not RecommendThis thing doesn’t work. As others have said, I should have read the reviews first. I tried sever loads and several hammers, and it wouldn’t fire. I looked at the dates on previous reviews, and this isn’t a new problem. Why would a brand like DeWalt, which lives or dies on its reputation, continue to sell a defective tool, and why would Lowe’s continue to sell it? Since most of them are returned, it’s a costly proposition for Lowe’s. Someone isn’t paying attention.
These negative reviews go back years! Why is this thing still being sold?!? It does not work! And yes, I compressed the tool down the quarter inch like you're supposed to. Do not buy!
great actuator tool
Would RecommendI have no idea why this has had such bad reviews. I was skeptical to buy this but needed tobget the job done. Purchased the tool, loads and 3” pins. Got it home and started driving the pins. Drove approximatel 100 pins with no issues. My only guess is that all the negative reviewers either didnt have the .22 loads inserted or were having user errors. Why did I wait so long?
Would RecommendWas using a concrete bit to try to drill through into my basement floor with difficulties. Finally purchased this guy and the process of securing my work became so much easier. Kicking myself for waiting so long to get this.

Would Not RecommendI owned a different brand of this tool for decades and had used it on two homes without a single issue. This product I beat and beat with a solid hammer and it would not fire even after changing the powder charge. I am returning it. Found volumes of reviews on the internet while trying to research what I might be doing wrong. They all had the same complaint
Less Than Garbage
Would Not RecommendI was so excited when I discovered this tool. That excitement turned into red-faced anger and frustration after the many attempts at getting it to work, re reading the instructions, watching more video demos, returning the item for a new one, then repeating the entire process again with the same result - lots of wasted time, gas, and energy. Instead of helping you, this thing just ruins your day.
