Would Not RecommendBought it to do work on our basement. Get to work and go to use it and it woildnt work. I dont live in a town with a lowes so went to my local hardware store to buy another brand that worked like a dream and will be returning this piece of junk as soon as i go back to lowes. This one was missing the firing pin which is a very common complaint. I should have read reviews before I purchased but didnt question quality bc the name. Lesson learned.
Piece of junk!!!!
Purchased it from lowes, was able to drive in 5 nails, with 50 attempts !!!! It just wouldn't fire !!! The instructions were useless!!! I took it back, got another and that was worse!!!!! So frustrating!!!! A total waste of almost a half day!!!! Got a refund went yo home depot and got a Ramset, worked beautifully!!! I think the problem with the DeWalt was the piston didn't reset and the instructions did not stress how to reset the piston and the importance of the reset. The DeWalt didn't reset, ...
BUYER BEWARE!!!!!
Would Not RecommendJust like all the other reviews... This product DOES NOT WORK!!!! After hitting it 15-20 times I got it to fire ONCE!! Just once. I tried 3-4 times after the one successful shot but it simply would not work after that! I'm only giving it 1 star because 0 is not an option. I returned it and went to Home Depot and got the Hammerset version and it works flawlessly!
Do NOT Buy!!! Worst purchase ever!!!
Would Not RecommendThe firing mechanism is trash. I bought it because it was a DeWALT. I am extremely disappointed in this purchase. I wish I would have read the reviews before I bought it. Yo have to strike it hard 8-15 times to get it to fire, but most of the time you will destroy the top of the .22 cap before it will fire. Total garbage!!!! I would give it a 0 star if it was an option
Junk
Would Not RecommendReturned one because I thought it had an issue. Nope they just don’t work! Never would fire on first hit usually fire about 10th strike. Very disappointed in this product.
had two, neither would fire a single shot
Would Not RecommendFirst one did not fire. Returned. Second one did not fire. Returned. Went and bought a Ramset from another company. I showed customer service the reviews and how upset I was that these are still being sold defective.
waste of momey
Would Not RecommendI should have tead the other reviews before buying this. Bought one today, attempted to drive 3 different fasteners, went through a package of loads, most appeared to musfise. Borrewed a Ramset from a friend and all the “misfires” worked fine in the Ramset. Plan om returning this ASAP and asking for a refund.
have to hit pretty hard
Would RecommendI bought this to attach 2 x 4 to concrete. The first shot went in just fine, but the ones after required a little more power. I used a framing hammer. This tool was very in expensive, but it did the job. If you’re going to be using a lot of nails I would recommend buying a more expensive product, but for a small job this was the perfect tool.
Peice of crap
Would Not RecommendNeeded to use a few nails to set a board to the concrete. I bought this nailer feeling it was a dewalt and would be good, but it is a piece of junk. It couldn't set one nail.
Why is this still being sold!?
Would Not RecommendAdd me to the stack of unsuspecting consumers that didnt check the reviews. This product does not function. DeWalt—why have you not recalled this product?? Lowes—whyvare you STILL SELLING this non-functioning product with this kind of return rate???? Also amused by the dancing star rating depending on which page viewed. On the front page of the MyLowes app this product has a 2.5 star rating. Select this item and you will find a 3 star rating. Look even further and opeb the ‘reviews’ tab and now ...
Wish I could give 0 stars
Would Not RecommendBought it instead of the Ramset, because Dewalt had never let me down. Didnt work, so I exchanged it for another. Same results. Couldn't believe I had two defective tools, so I bought new charges. Same results. Finally read the reviews and returned it. Bought a Ramset and it works everytime. Dewalt is slapping their name on more and more junk now adays. Rethinking my opinion of Dewalt.
Awesome Powder Gun!
Would RecommendThis powder gun worked great ! Used in basement on floor. Did an awesome job. Easy to use.
Garbage. Do not buy this.
Would Not RecommendI bought one of these and it didn't work. Exchanged it for another. This one doesn't work either. The problem seems to be with the firing pin - or lack or firing pin. It just isn't hitting the charge. I finally got a couple to fire by hitting them with extreme force, but if you have to throw your whole body at it, that's just not safe. These things are meant to fire with a nice medium force blow with a regular one pound hammer so you have plenty of control. There's clearly something defective ...
Got 4 shots out of it.
Would Not RecommendI read the reviews after buying this... Should have before. I got 4 shots out of it before it quit working, I can't begin to explain how dissapointed am I with Dewalt with this tool. I pay a lot more for Dewalt tools because I assume they are worth it... I might have to question that going forward..
junk
Would Not Recommendbought it smacked the ever living crap out of it and still couldn't get it to fire!
Don't waste your time with this!
Would Not RecommendOpened it up, operated per instructions (which I had to go online to read, as the printed instructions are too small to read).. Nothing. Tried 10 different loads, with and without nails an it just doesn't work. Never could get it to fire. Going to Home Depot to get a real powder actuated tool.
