Works great until it doesnt.

Worked great, until it didn't. Ran for about two hours before the motor "popped" and quit. Returned for full refund.

Cheaply made

Great design, poorly made with inferior materials, the screws that attach the bottom plate stripped out after two use (from fitting the router onto circle cutting jig and then re-install back to the original plate). A router should come with good screws, why cheap out on such a small part on something that could have been a good product?

The Best Palm Router Ever

I just purchased this DEWALT #DWP611 to replace the well used #DWP611 that was stolen from my car! I'm getting ready to begin another project and my DEWALT will be there when I need it.

Great Tool - Died Under 2 years

Purchased this item Jen 2019. It died today - I have power and LED light. I don't have power to the router however.

Is a metric collet available for this?

Sorry guys but I work in modern 'money'. :-) Could somebody please tell me where I can purchase a 6mm metric collet for this? Otherwise, this is a pretty good bit of kit. A bit noisy, but then I haven't found any make that list db in the specs.

Unit works great

This is replacement unit my son walked off with cause it worked so well! Depth adjustment & power is sufficient for most all projects.

Well balanced and powerful

Quality and power are exceptional. Easily adjustable for precise depth of cut and easy bit change. My only regret is that I didn’t buy it with the plunge base. I’ll be ordering that next.

Absolutely Critical for finish carpentry

I own 4 and do not recheck any bits. Would absolutely recommend

Powerful and compact!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this a few weeks ago to put an edge profile on some doors with raised panel. The small base made it very easy. Good power for such a small and compact router. The base is just the right size. I also use it for flush trimming.

Compact size with plenty of power

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After using a full size plunge router for years, I don't know how I got by without this compact router. It's so easy to use and easy to change bits, adjust the depth, and change the speed. It's very easy to hold in one hand and guide the base with the other hand to keep the base flat on the surface. The added light also makes it easy to see your work. Plenty of power to get the job done.

Bad Brushes

Purchased July of 2019 and the brushes went bad already. I think extra brushes included would be a plus. I do like the price and ease of use.

Decent router but poor base.

So far the router has lived up to my expectations and I have enjoyed using it. Unfortunately I needed to do some template work and although Dewalt says that it will accept the Porter-Cable router template guides it actually requires the purchase of a separate base (DNP613) which is apparently only available online for an exorbitant price or for an eternity in shipping or you can get the plunge base.

Dewalt Router Two Thumbs Up!!

This router works great and has the speed and power needed to do the job. If there was one change I would like to see, it would be to add graduations all the way around the collar you turn to move it up and down. Then you would have a point of reference in the front no matter the position.

Nice addition

We are newly home owners and are building our arsenal of tools and gadgets. My husband used to do woodwork in the past and so I thought this would be the perfect starting point to a new hobby. He was excited, and said he can now round the edges to the bench he built us.
