Very hard to get the engine to start and its a fuel guzzler. I also wish i would've gotten a straight shaft trimmer.

I love the true American city enables me to change the end from a weed wacker to a tiller to a blower to an edger which I think is great that way I don't have to have all these extra tools but the way Lowe's shipped it to me it looks like it was returned to the store it was overly taped up the boxes were broken it was nasty and I was supposed to give it to someone as a gift I ended up keeping it for myself but the trimmer buy one

not easy to start

I have had this a couple of years. it is impossible to start. I have a rotator cuff problem and it is so frustrating to get it started. Easy Start is false advertising and I would not recommend this one to anyone.

Used once

Used this once and the head broke and wouldn't feed string. Literally used it for 8 minutes! What a piece of junk! Do not buy or you will have to drive all the way back to the store replace it and go to a different store to buy. What a hassle!

DON'T BUY THIS UNIT, DID NOT LAST 3 MONTHS

I bought this weed eater on April 3 of 2024 and I also bought a few attachments. I bought it for the sidewalk edger specifically. I have two other brand weed eaters that I use 99% of the time so this Craftsman unit just has been sitting for the most part and I have edged 2 40 foot sidewalks. Last night, the edger stopped spinning. After doing research on this unit, it's known for the cable separating from the clutch assembly and that is what happened here after about 2 to 3 hours of use. Meh…Make sure it’s up to the job you have planned

It says that it’s attachment capable, however most attachments are not compatible with it; many saying not to use with a curved trimmer. It’s easy enough to use but could use a harness and I thought that upgrading from 24 to 25ccs would provide more power but there’s no real difference.

A toy

Like a toy. Incapable of getting anything done. Keeps bogging down, clogging, string unwinds in record speed. VERY UNRELIABLE.

Be sure you get the service plan

This weed eater (really it is a power unit for several tools) is easy to use. Lot's of attachments for it like a blower, edger, etc. BUT bought it in April 2023 with the two years service plan, which you definitely need. In November 2023 it died. Lowes honored the service plan and replaced it for no charge. In July 2024 it seized. Again Lowes replaced it no problem. It's a good tool while it runs but BE SURE you get the service plan. Because you will probably need it.
