lasted one season

Bought this last year, used it a handful of times throughout the summer. Stored it in a shed for the winter. Pulled it out this may to clean up the yard and it isn't getting a spark to start. Now paying another person to fix it. Apparently their notorious for the kill switch or coil going out.

SUCKS

Had 2 troybilt in the past, same as craftman, this will be my 3rd machine in 5 years, only reason i keep buying it is because i bought all the attachments. Keep loosing compression/piston ring dispite using correct gas/oil. Lowes use to let me exchange bc it was under warranty < 1yr. Now you have to a "certified mechanic" to tell you it sucks and ther not worth fixing by a new one...5 machines x$150= sthil weedeater!

Stay away and buy something else

Purchased this product and keep having the same 2 issues. 1. The spool head holder keeps popping off 2. The trimmer guard keeps getting loose. I tried returning to the local Lowe’s store but they said I missed their return window. This is very frustrating as I purchased this for its reviews. I’m assuming the reviewers lied

Garbage

Purchased, used for approximately 1hour and worked ok. Drained fuel, stored for 3 weeks and fueled and cranked started using and clutch came apart. Took back to Lowe's and they would not refund because it was 5 days past the 30 day warranty. I noticed that Lowe's now shows that item unavailable so they know that it is a piece of garbage but cannot stand behind a product no more than that I will no longer purchase anything from Lowe's. Gas Cap Leaks

Gas is constantly leaking out of the gas cap. This is not a good product, buyer beware.

Craftsman Crafted an Expensive Piece of Garbage

'24Father's Day gift gone wrong. The string feeder does not work as intended. The manual said to look at the Stringer Instructions but there was none with my device. "Two pieces of 6ft string cut at 30°", after Googling it & stops after 2 minutes of work for the string to gum up. 0.001 stars. Trash.

I purchased this unit 3 yrs ago and already went through a warranty process for a cracked piston head, litterally broke in half because of bad casting. Replacement is even worse since it wont run half the time, dies after 2 miins of use. This is by far the absolute worst piece of power equipment Ive ever had. Not reliable

Line shoots out unpredictably. Pretty loud for a trimmer. Most frustrating aspect is trying to rewind the trimmer cord. The YouTube video by Craftsman shows it's real easy to wind but, if you notice closely, the machine they are re-winding is a NEW machine.
