Quiet but hard to load and doesn't dry dishes

Bought this a few weeks ago and the only thing I love is the fact it is sooo quiet. HOWEVER I have not figured out how to load it to make use of all the areas. Too many prongs in the wrong places and forget about loading pots and pans. And it has never dries the dishes and I have tried all the settings. Living in Florida you have to have things dry or they mold. I do not want to hand dry them as that defeats half of my purpose of having a dish washer. It does clean the dishes just fine. But this...

I love my new Bosch dishwasher!

The dishwasher was professionally installed and has worked just like it's supposed to. My dishes are sparkling clean and dry using the 60 minute wash, extra dry, Finish tabs and Finish Rinse Aid. As advertised it runs very quietly. This model does not have digital read out so the instruction manual doesn't explain clearly how to modify how long the beeper at the end of the cycle will continue to alert me that it is finished. Quiet

It is incredibly quiet. Sometimes, I'm only reminded it's on when the water drains. It's also much larger inside--due to better planning of the racks--than my old dishwasher. The ability to lower the top rack is handy. The downward-facing red light that shows when it's on is handy since it's so quiet. You set your wash choices, then close the door. A little harder to use than we expected.

We've been using the dishwasher for about a month now. Getting the soap receptacle to latch is harder that it has to be. Keeping the bottom rack on track can be a bit elusive also. I do like the the adjustable upper rack but have not had much need for it. I also have a problem with all of the slanting racks on the bottom. I would like some to go straight up and down. It makes it hard to put odd sized items on this rack.

Very quiet, simple functioning, attractive dishwasher.

Does not fill with water

My last Bosch dishwasher last for less than 3 years then the water valve sensor broke so it only fills half of the water. The repair will cost $530 so we decided to get a new one. Then the new one installed did not fill water at all. The Bosch Customer service was a Joke. The lady kept asking me "what do you want me to do?" Sounded like she had no idea what so ever. Decided to return to store and get another brand instead.

Quiet

Very quiet. No specific sanitize button, and instructions don't tell you how to get your dishes sanitized. Heavy cycle and extra dry is the only way I can get it to sanitize.

Returning

I have never disliked a dishwasher as much as this one. The bottom rack comes off the track often and the wheels pop off when that happens - I am 37 weeks pregnant and when you have a full dishwasher and this happens - it makes for an extremely difficult & frustrating fix! We did not receive the clips that were supposed to be included and we are now having an issue with the cycle stopping mid way. Incredibly Quiet!

They should include a stethoscope so we could tell if the machine is working, because it's so quiet it's almost eerie. It casts a small red light on the floor so you can tell that it's still in its cycle, which at first took me by surprise. The instruction manual is not adequate, so use common sense when installing as a replacement. Also, I had to use blocks for height since my opening was a bit too high. I love this dishwasher as far as how quite it is. I can not tell if it is running or not, hope the light on the floor doesn't burn out. I love the knife rack and the other rack for stem glasses, but it is extremely hard to load dishes. It is like it has so many prongs sticking up that you can not situate the plates and the bowls are next to impossible. If it is possible to have to many stick up prongs, then this is the winner. Boasch Ascen5tqa 46 Decibel Diswasher - Don't Like

The bottom rack keeps coming off track. Not easy to put back into the dishwasher. I hate the slants in the bars for the plates. The silverware holder is too small. They jacked up the silverware holder. I want to take it back and get another brand.

Bosch dishwasher

In and running with very little effort. The only part that gave me a problem was attaching the toe kick plate. We've only used it a few times but it is extremely quiet. Very happy so far.

Love the quietness and ability to control settings for delays as well as the other options. Lowe's installer did a great job on installation and clean up...very courteous and thorough getting me accustomed with the dishwasher.

Yes it's quiet, but...

We bought this dishwasher about 5 months ago to replace a 10-year old contractor grade dishwasher that came with our house. We have a family of 4 and typically run the dishwasher every other day. The Bosch is very quiet and is easy to run while we are using our open-living area. You can barely hear the dishwasher when it's running, although you can still hear the water surges through the pipes. I'll never buy another Bosch

Bought it. Had it professionally installed by a plumber. It cuts off after two minutes every time. Google "Bosch dishwasher won't keep running" and you'll get pages and pages of workarounds for this known problem. None of the workarounds worked for us. Now I have no working dishwasher and have to pay to have a replacement installed and this one removed so I can return it. So disappointing.

Bosch Model SHS5AVF6UC - Big Mistake!

Don't usually write reviews, but feel a warning on this thing is our Public Service duty. Bought it for the name and the quiet and it is quiet, but at the sacrifice of interior space. It is smaller inside than any of our other dishwashers we've previously owned. It's complicated and lethargic in responding to it's button controls. You can't really "feel" the door latch. Cleans Great

Overall we are happy with our purchase because the unit looks great, has good reviews, is priced great, and cleans our dishes very well, but there are a couple of things that we dislike. Compared to our old Kenmore Elite, which went out after 7 years, this Bosch Ascenta does not dry as well as our old dish washer, even under the extra dry setting. Outstanding Dishwasher

The best dishwasher we have ever owned. Standard installation. Very, very quiet and really cleans the dishes.

We purchased this dishwasher because we already have a Bosch product in our kitchen and believe Bosch dishwashers to be the best on today's market.

Just OK

Had bought a comparable KitchenAid for a different location about six months ago and prefer it to this Bosch. The KitchenAid feels more sturdy by way of the door and basket slides. The Bosch also needed an L-fitting for the water line which I had to purchase whereas the KitchenAid included it in the installation kit; no big deal, but not having it delayed the install.
